Well my Caja expires in July, I just wondered how complicated it is to renew?
Also have to renew/extend my temp residence (cedula) at the same time.

    Thanks

Heard that a number of folks gathered in Atenas area to renew their vows so as to get new marriage certificates.

Is anyone aware of some new rules or is this a local thing required in Atenas?

I know sometimes different regions apply local rules it appears.

This whole issue of drivers license and waiting for Cedula has been discussed on several forums.

We chose to drive with a legal CDN drivers license during the waiting period (18 mos) and on principle did not leave the country every 3 months. It’s ridiculous that one is obligated to leave merely to keep your foreign license active for 90 days. Once you apply for residency and the paperwork is accepted we felt there should be an automatic exemption from any 90 rule which was first given as a visa requirement which allowed you to use your foreign license. One govt department is not communicating with the other.

We were stopped twice for spot checks and just showed our CDN license, we did not carry our passports with us. When we finally went to Uruca, we showed our CR entry date of two years previous and were granted our license. Nothing was said about leaving the country every 90 days.

Seems like many people have varied experiences as the govt rules often are interpreted differently in some offices.

Can you tell us what Laura charges for her services?

I tend to agree, why should I even pay the 2015 tax if it is ruled unconstitutional. Also only 6% of people have been paying the tax which was a huge surprise.

So this begs the question. Should we keep the corporations?

Should we dissolve them as perhaps they aren’t worth the tax required annually as they are all inactive and in place for property and vehicles only.

We have property in Orosi Valley overlooking Lake Cachi, beautiful climate, cooler, greener and around 4000′. All within about 25 mins to Walmart, shopping centres etc east of Cartago.

To find temps of 70’s during the day will be very hard to find. You must be at a very high altitude for this.
What about the Orosi Valley? I mentioned that in an earlier post but got no reaction. I believe temps. in that area average in the ’70’s.
You’re right this is not the US so Net speeds for the price don’t compare nor do the prices of cars! This is CR.

I think you can purchase satellite feed for the speeds you seek albeit likely very expensive.

We also use CrWi-Fi and pay about $90 @ month for 3Mg speed. You can purchase their basic plan for less around $50 I think. They are reliable, professional and respond quickly to messages unlike others in CR.

Highly recommended, you can visit their website for further.

Well there are various methods all which may keep them at bay from kitchen especially.

We tried spreading bay leaves which also helps. We also bought a couple of the Raid ant traps which also appear to be working.

They’ll likely come back as they’re persistent and numerous.

    Good luck!

Depending on where you live, if CRWifi reaches you it’s well worth the money—-about $45 for basic and professional service. We’ve had it one year, very reliable and emails or calls will be answered in an expedient manner.

OK so my question is—can you purchase any local vacuum packed tenderloin in CR and age in your fridge for the same affect?

I often see packaged local tenderloins at Pricesmart that look
good but heard most local beef is not aged locally and pretty tough.

    Thanks
