Ahh paranoia.
I agree (again) with Pharg.
With the estimated population growth over the next few years, GMOs will probably turn out to be the only way to feed the world.
Anti-GMOs should start making decisions on who they are going to starve to death.
A friend contracted for a small prefab at a cost of $3,500. She has now paid the first payment on the prefab PLUS another $10,000 for things that aren’t covered in the prefab.
On the other hand, a local couple bought a Tico house and had it rebuilt and extended. They are very happy with the result.
We have a caretaker living in a casita on our property. He maintains the lawn (there is a lot of lawn maybe 3 acres) and watches the animals when we are away. He pays his own electric and gas. He does NOT have a key to the main house. We have a gardener for about 30 hours a week and we pay him c2000 an hour which is above the usual wage because he is excellent and speaks English.
A bigger issue than snakes here is dogs catching poisonous toads. They cause a lot of deaths. Then there is the pencil tree. Its sap is quite toxic and can get on a dog’s fur and transfer to the owner. It causes caustic burns and can cause blindness. We had one growing and took it out.
Actually, once you file a demanda or denuncia, you can tell anyone you want. – That is the opinion of an attorney. You are not slandering anyone, just stating a fact.
Once the paperwork is filed, you just say “We have filed a demanda against Mr. Brown at Brown and Company for fraud.” Then stop talking.

Buying a car in CR can be tricky. There is no law against rolling back the odometer. New cars may not have all the safety features required in a US bought car which is why the same car may weigh 300 lbs. less in CR than in the US. We shipped our car and are quite happy.

Have to love that farmers here in CR shout that their food is organic but don’t have to prove that they raise crops without manufactured fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Love mushrooms? The best medium for them is cow manure. Yum. Besides, isn’t all food “organic”? We aren’t eating chunks of granite, are we?
