ParticipantSince this show is no longer on one of the few channels we do access, we no longer see it. We only watch/listen to TV as I make supper, and for a max. of 3 hrs, from 5-8pm….and after I have turned off the computer.

ParticipantPossibly, you were able to do it at that time, is because the ‘official’ renewal of plates ending in ‘1’ starts today.

ParticipantRegarding bringing ‘Good quality name brand appliances’. Often, these appliances will not fit into existing homes here, although you could try to sell them here. Used to be a booming market for these here, but they are now available quite easily, and purchasers can select the right size.

ParticipantI am one who always enjoys watching this show and I am positive that Becky has done a great job in showcasing areas of CR…but, does HHI really have any any insight on the growth of Real estate ventures in CR? I don’t think so, but they do cater towards those who dream of living in the tropics …

ParticipantWe went to RETIVE on Friday, and they said, ‘wait your turn’.

ParticipantA lot depends on how and where you intend to live.
Are you going to live a simpler life?
Do you intend to entertain a lot?
No one can tell you, what you require.
But don’t bring the Nicknacks, or all the fussy decorative items that have space for the insects to build a community. If you intend to live in a condo you won’t need you lawnmower…

ParticipantThere is much more information on the local Spanish language ‘newspapers on line’, unfortunately, they are harder to find, after the fact.

ParticipantI use repellent when walking in a shaded, heavily treed area, especially at this time of year… and we have lot’s of trees!
I sometimes use a home-made mixture of water and vanilla essence, that I spray on .8)costaricafinca
ParticipantI sure don’t want to get dengue and arsenic poisoning, at the same time 🙄

ParticipantAnybody else notice another rise in their latest electricity bill?

ParticipantNo, this isn’t usually done.
And, sorry to say, a landlord will often have a very hard battle to evict a tenant from his property.costaricafinca
ParticipantEven at many new restaurants, a large receptacle, placed next to the toilet will let you know, whether you are expected to ‘flush or not’. Plus, you may not be able to read their requirements.
At a private residence, there will not be a sign…so, don’t let your desire to ‘flush’, cause their sewer line to back up…. -
