You make it sound as though there are police out in the country side already. Here on the beaches of Guanacaste there is very little if any police presence. Plus they are empowered to do very little. I believe I am on my own at all times with only my neighbors and friends to call on. Kinda like the old days, huh! Be vigilant my friends.

If you are talking with Erik and Andrew I believe you are in good hands. I too would recommend speaking with some of their previous clients. I think they have this place pretty wired It was a boom year this year and the green season has been good as well. I too have been traveling to Nosara since ’96 and 2-3 times a year for the past 4 years. I know many of the contractors. I think Andrew does a great over seeing construction. His Spanish is excellent and he comes with a development and marketing background. IMHO…..

I have cruised the central Guanacaste coastline and it is the most amazing way to see the country. I have friends who have made trips from The Flying Crocodile to the Osa and Arenal and they loved it. You’ve got to pack light. Highly recommend it.

WOW Sprite, I’m sure that cesspool of a mouth or finger tips in this case will take you, and the rest of the world far. Good luck.

I love Nosara, and highly recommend it. Beautiful Boutique hotels , great food, and great surf with white sand beaches you can walk on without burning your feet. In Nosara there is no development within 200 meters of the ocean. It is a National Park and Wildlife Refuge. If you want a more placid bay then Samara and Carrillo are the place.

Sprite, please make your own plans as you see fit, and I may agree with you on this prognostication. You needn’t continually have diarrhea of the mouth though. Costa Rica has not helped you as an ugly whatever you claim to be.

Age limits needs to be raised. S.S. was at 62 years of age when the average age at death was 68. Now 60 is the new 40. Means testing is another. We need to start it now and phase it in.

Wow, sounds like a bunch of very unhappy people. I would contend that sex is a very important part of a relationship. Having been married for over 30 years I believe the intimacy in sharing yourself with each other fosters and strengthens a relationship. It’s why we walk the beach holding hands, placing our arms around each other, kissing each other good night and good morning. It doesn’t come easy as you age. You have to work at being healthy and active to continue those feelings and urges. If all of your 50+ plus girlfriends think it’s disgusting to have to make love with their partner, they may need more than some hormonal therapy. It sounds like more than one thing has dried up inside.

WOW, Standing there with your hands out waiting for the government to take care of you. How pathetic. Then you buy in to all this fear mongering from our “Community Organizer in Chief” who hasn’t a clue. I can tell moving to Costa Rica made you so courageous and self sufficient. Don’t get me wrong, we deserve what we paid in, because we had to, and our service men and women deserve our support and I’m confident they will all receive their checks. There are BILLIONS$ in redundant and unnecessary programs that need to be closed. Could be a good start. It’s time to take a stand. It is not the responsibility of government to take care of the individual.

Should you not be more worried about the sales tax than the income for which you should easily offset with some expenses.

I would second the Observatory Lodge. I too have stayed there and it is a great setting.

I drive 3.5 hours to D.C. to fly on Taca for half the price of domestic air. They only fly into San Jose, but they provide food, drinks and spirits for free and have much better leg room.

So let me get this straight. The USA conducts multiple wars costing billions if not trillions of dollars to propagate the world drug trade, as a matter of policy. I ain’t buying it.
