I don’t find the Guanacaste region nearly as humid as the OBX of NC in summer having lived in the mid atlantic all my life, but close. However sun is way more intense. The sun and heat are relentless at times. June, July, August and November thru January are great but you have to love being in the water, stay out of the heat in the middle of the day 12-4 (siesta time)and the evenings are real nice. March and April really bake you and you can’t wait for the rains to start. If you love the ocean and need to be by it this is it. However David is right and the populace prefers the mountains and central valley with their spring like weather year round. Not familiar with the Atlantic side though I understand it to be real hot and extremely humid and wet.

Jaco and downtown SJ are about as bad a reflection of CR as one could choose. You take your money and your life in your own hands in those places. Now if you are in the market for casino’s and ho’s you’ve found nirvana, or L.A., NYC, Motown, South Beach, etc.

No I got your point, and understand the need to define “basics” and not to be confused with the definition of “is”. Much like all the liberal advertising you see on TV you to parade the children in front of you.
No I do believe the children need to be cared for if their families are not willing or unable to help. But we promote this culture or I could say rewards their actions. There are children(girls) that will stand up and tell a teacher she does not have to listen to her anymore, as soon as she has her baby and starts getting government funding and with more babies comes more funding. I suspect there are plenty of instances that these children would be better off in foster care than living in drug cultured tenements and if the parents want to keep their children they need to earn that right or prove they are a positive influence on their well being.

Wow David , lets not get our panties in a bunch.
First from our earlier exchange, and you may not care considering the source, but I as an American would like to thank you for your service as a retired veteran.
That being said, you chose to live in a rural area with bad roads. Why should the government have to improve your roads with monies it takes from everyone else? Do you live in a highly productive region where the efficiency of movement for commerce is beneficial to the publics needs? There are many rural areas in Guanacaste that have terrible roads and the residents there meet, discuss and pool their monies to improve their infrastructures. They do not stand there with there hands out.
If someone is having problems with their mortgage, and I have been there, I don’t expect the government to come in and bail me out with your money.
However the police are there for enforcement of the rule of law which is the responsibility of government.
And the masses will vote for anyone that hands out free bees, free food, there in lays the problem.
The reason why our welfare programs are not working is this feeling of entitlement. You get much more in America if you do nothing. Our welfare programs are destroying the fabric of American families and the teachings of hard work and commitment. Our schools are being watered down so that everyone can be equal. Well I’m here to tell you we are not all equal in our desires and abilities. There will always be those with and those without. I’ve worked hard all my life to earn that which I have and I reject your or anyone’s notion that the majority has the right to take that which is mine and give it to someone else they feel more deserving.
We now have the entire world standing there with their hands out through some orchestrated farce trying to extort monies from America. The dictator of Rhodesia Patrick Mogabe wants to know where his money is. Wake up before you give us all away.
And to Imx. He was just expressing his position (feelings), that’s what this forum is about. I think you lost some of your focus as your blood pressure was rising while you typed.

David, I am constantly amazed by your civility in the face of idiocy.
Steve

Typical reply, lets start playing the race card and maybe it can support your argument.
Which was what ?????
And if you mean the government that you want, please by all means move to Canada or Europe, Russia, Cuba, Venezuela we won’t miss your sorry a***** in America.

Thanks David nice try. Life long Government Employee with a government pension that your state tax payers pay, right? Having spent 3 years as a civil engineer in my city I can’t say I hold city/government employees in the highest regard. It just explains where it is coming from. However, I appreciate much of what you bring to this forum, just not your politics. To each his own, sorry to have brought mine, but I still live in this country for now and I am going to fight tooth and nail to alter the direction it is headed in.

1) I said heritage not citizenship, big difference. It would be nice to be proud of America not apologetic as our President.
2) Afraid of a little international targeted ease dropping for our protection. I can’t condone it either. But I’ve got nothing to hide.
3) Maj. Nadil Malik Hasan , Fort Hood Texas and plenty others identified before they got this far. Heaven forbid we should profile anyone.
4) Half hearted attempt under pressure, finally made the right call, oh, but just hunker down and wait and we will all be gone in 2011. Nice speech in Norway. Great orator. But that’s all it was. What else would you like him to tell you? He can dial in his teleprompter.
5) Obama doesn’t need any help here he has the whole Democratic Party behind him. Go Nannyville California!
6) Cass Sunstein “free speech needs to be limited for the common good”, Mark Lloyd Diversity czar who complemented Hugo Chavez control of TV and radio to win his socialistic efforts and dictatorship. Watch for the Fairness Doctrine to return.
7) I hope you are not one of those that think the government orchestrated the death of 3200+ Americans on 9-11. Wasn’t Clinton President for the prior 8 years?
8) Means #8 sorry.
9) Let some fail and prop up others (?), save the auto industry to protect the unions and now watch them unload their legacy debt on the American people with free health care. Seems Ford is doing well without a bailout.
10) Gee who wrote the Houses Health Care Bill, it sure wasn’t the Congressmen and women, and they won’t even read it. Andy Sterns ,SEIU, go unions!!!!
11) I’ll let this one go. Most of the outrage is just a bunch of liberals defending their man. Can’t say its art. Sorry
12) Obama “I want to have a civil army as well equipped and funded as the military”. Why, what are you afraid of? The American People? We are coming for you in 2012.
13) Gee, you made a funny. I won’t take the time to explain this. Have you read Michelle Malkins book Culture of Corruption, take the time.
14) I guess I missed the intimidation, but if you say it’s so it must be. No mention of all the lost absentee votes from our military in Florida. I’m sure they were voting for Gore.

And Speedo those Speedo’s must be a couple sizes to small. I don’t even watch Rush, to loud and obnoxious much like your comment.Typical name calling and attempted intimidation from the progressive liberal side.

Pretty much on point however we have a bit of a blend here.

1) Our president is doing away with national pride, given his questionable heritage and in favor of our world citizenry.
2) Suppression of personal rights in the name of the collective.
3) There are real enemies amongst us, and they just arrested 5 more in Pakistan.
4) Our Commander in Chief has turned his back on our freedom fighters and they may save us yet.
5) Sexism is rampant alright in a most perverted way, anything goes.
6) Definitely attempts here and it ain’t over yet.
7) The current Administration almost refuses to acknowledge the threat, it is real.
8) A nation founded on judeo-christian beliefs, forsaken so as not to offend anyone, pleasssseeee.
9) The most anti capitalist administration ever unless you are doing their bidding.
10) No suppression here, they are all in bed together. 2 million union members dictating policy for 300 million Americans.
11) Agree
12) This Administration would love to have their own police force.
13) To the Nth degree, Chicago style.
14) This may prove to be true, from the fraudulent voter registration to the intimidation at polling places by the Black Panthers.

Fascism and Socialism, coming to an America near you.

What a bunch of trifling nonsense. Get a life buddy. Sorry Scott that you and those of us who enjoy your site have to listen to this whiny **** stuff. If you don’t like it move on. No one is forcing you to read any given article. Oh I see, that was just constructive criticism, right. If you can’t find the information within these articles you never will.

The breadth of the sites members, and contributers would be greatly reduced and in turn so would its content and experience. As much as this site is part of my daily routine I too would fore go a paid association. I would hope you could find another income stream such as your books and DVD’s, which I have purchased in the past, to compensate for the energy expended on our behalf. Truly a great site and forum you have created. Best of luck, it’s your call.

Yes, there was a large class action suit against Quest pipe and fittings and rightfully so. These are not the same products and all the fittings I’ve used were copper. Pex main cost savings is in installation labor, the material it’s self is expensive, here in CR that may not be as relative, it’s expansion quality is a plus in colder climates.

It’s a great product and used extensively in the states. As always proper installation and pressure testing at about 200psi is the key to trouble free.

I can not believe this remark. There are those who draw their inner strength to persevere from their god, while those from our left stand there, waiting, with their hand out.
