The Dems, GOP they are all the same. They all are in the pockets of big business and have the same goal of furthering the goals of the evil empire. As far as the elections go you can bet the house that they are fixed. Why else would they have a system that is so easily hacked and why else would they refuse to have a paper trail. If you have nothing to hide why not have a paper trail. This is just common sense. Our country is being raped by the day by these evil greedy criminals. I do think the people of the US look pretty damn bad to the rest of the world because we do nothing about it. People around the world did not blame the american people for the stolen election but then we reelect Bush. We allow them to advocate torture, violate international law, trash the constitution ect. The world view of american people is changing just on the basis that we dont seem to give a damn what our leaders do. They are not held accountable. Also alot of people in other nations know what happened on 911. They know it was a inside job and cant understand why our people are so ignorant to continue to believe the lies told to us by our notoriously dishonest government. It is time to wake up and speak up. Let the people in congress know that we know what is happening and demand change. It may be too late but basically that is all we have left to try and save this rapidly sinking ship. Most of us are bailing out which is also the best option but you also must consider your family and friends who will have to live in the US and suffer the consequences of a police state and a facist government.

I second that Aquierrewar, Florida taxes are outragious. The middle class is living poor due to the high cost of everything. Food prices are high, gas prices are high, insurance prices are high, taxes are high, medical costs are high and the list goes on and on. I am paying for a trip to costa rica just to go to the dentist to have several fillings. With the money saved for me and my wife to go to the dentist it will pay for our international airfare. There is a war going on against the middle class and honestly I dont think anything will change with Dems in office. The way they are talking they are just going down the same road as the GOP. Many went from calling for impeachment (including Conyers writing a extensive paper on why Bush should be impeached) to telling the american public that impeachment is off the table. If this administration is not held accountable for their crimes then we are giving the green light for these crooks and crooks in the future to continue violating international law, stomping on the constitution, and lying to the american people. When is enough enough. At least in Costa Rica they put their former leaders in jail when they have done something wrong. Needless to say none of them have committed near the crime that Bush and his band of crooks have done. How many more people have to die and suffer because of these heartless criminals. There will be no change until the people demand it. Just electing the Dems to office is not the answer. Now we must demand that they represent our interests instead of their own. We are still headed down that road to a police state just different faces in the picture. People complain about Iraq (me included) but the real issue should be that our civil rights have been stripped away for this so called war on terror. These are the issues that effect the american people directly yet no one seems to give a damn.

I agree Jacban much can be learned from history that is why so many of us fear the US government and their policies. Hitler has been compared to Bush many times for very good reasons. America is becoming more and more a police state with restricted rights. We have fought to take control of the Middle East and other places around the world. We have controlled media (now owned by five corporations). Even the Reichstag fires are very similar to Bush stealing the election. Also much can be learned from the Soviet Unions experience in Afghanistan. We are fighting a losing battle in Iraq and Afghanistan. Imagine how many people would be saved if we pulled out of Vietnam early

Best map I have found is Berndtson. Waterproof and much more detail than many others. I have four other maps but this is the best.

I think you are correct Maravilla and glad to see there are some others with their eyes open to what is going on. The New World Order is hard at work. And the Rothchilds, Rochefellers and other illuminatis are in the process of establishing total world domination. Establishing a north american state is high on their list (merging of Canada, Mexico and US). The toll road running from Mexico to Canada is the beginning of this process. As you mentioned the Central Asia pipeline is also very high on the list which means more war with more countries being invaded. It truely makes me very happy to see that there are more people who realize what is happening. I just wish more would do their homework and arm themselves with knowledge. The world bank has had its hands in Costa Rica in the past with forcing Costa Rica to have a more open market in exchange for disreguarding some of their debt. These are truely evil people with evil plans. The more of us that realize what is happening, the more chance we have of slowing the process or stopping it.

Isabel at Go Dutch is very knowledgable and helpful and also check out what Randy has to offer also. Best advise I can give you is dont deal with one real estate sales person. See what they have to offer, ask around town for what is available(everyone has a tio with land for sale), use all the resources available. Dont listen to what people say about other people because often this is just bull… and trying to persuade you to deal with them. Make it clear to all the real estate sales people what you are looking for in what price range and that you are going to look around. If they know you will not just look at what they have to offer and that you will buy the best deal available then you will see more properties and have more options available to you. They know they must give you a good price or make nothing when you go to another real estate sales person and make a purchase. Good Luck.

Right On Maravilla, I totally agree with you. Also was very happy to see the Ticos trying to stop TLC. The denial of this agreement is vital to the survival of Costa Rica and its people. I am just afraid that chirozo will persuade the legislative assembly to pass it whether they agree with it or not. Still praying that they can manage to keep the US out of there. Globalization is bad for everyone except the fat cats.

Guess you better look for another country to move to. Costa Rica is pretty ignorant according to you. Over 50 years without a military and no terrorist attacks or wars. Huh maybe peaceful foreign policy has something to do with that? Also notice that the aggressive countries (coalition forces) are the ones that have problems with terrorist attacks. Wonder why that is. Do you have any suggestions on how to handle terrorism? We cant kill them all. why not let them kill each other like they have been for many years. Wonder why the countries that are not involved with Israel and the Middle east dont have the problems we have. I know I dont feel safer having our troops halfway around the globe stoking fires. I would much rather have them protect our homeland and have our administration make more friends than enemies. If that is ignorant than so be it. Guess Jesus was ignorant too for not lashing out at the Romans and people who nailed him to the cross. You can gain alot more from peace than you can from war. Billions of dollars and lives later what have we accomplished with this war? If you agree with war to solve all the problems please stay in the US. A peaceful country like Costa Rica has no use for war loving people.

I must agree with Jenny, If people truely believe this is a religious war then let god sort it out. Honestly what is the chance of winning such a war? Take a look at history. It really is not possible to wipe out all of the people who have extremist beliefs. Arent countries such as Costa Rica much safer because they dont attack, than countries such as the US who is agressive and has to police the world? I am sure there will be another excuse after excuse for this war. They keep coming up with more and more and the american people continue to buy it. It really astounds me how people could be so naive and just continue to allow the government to lie, change the story midstream, and spin everything. People need to wake up and hold the administration accountable for these crimes. I think the extremists are getting support because they are fighting against the US and the US is the one who has invaded their country, killed their people, raped their women, destroyed their homes ect. Of course they are going to support the people who offer to help get the US out. Look how the people of Lebbanon responded to hezbollah.Hezbollah was there to help when their buildings got demolished by Israel. They were the only ones sticking up for them. Who would you support if put in the same situation. I know we all want to think of the US as the good guys here but look at the situation from their viewpoint and think of how you would feel if another country came in and blew up your home, family, friends ect. Neither side is right. We are no more right for killing their people than they are right for killing ours. From a religious standpoint who would Jesus bomb? Come on folks really think about it. How would Jesus handle this situation? Certainly not remotely close to how the US is handling the situation in the middle east.

    Peace!!

The reason I never answered your question about Beslan is because it is totally irrevelent. What does that have to do with the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan other than we are killing muslims? Also this tragedy could have been prevented. The Russians had information about this attack and did nothing about it. Just as the US did nothing about 911. They posted only one policewoman outside the school to protect it. How much sense does that make?

No I have never been to the middle east and dont care to go there but that does not make me ignorant to what is going on. Just because we have different opinions does not make either one of us ignorant. That is one of the main problems in our country. We need to listen and respect the opinions and views of others. Perhaps we would not be in as big a mess as we are today if we could do that. Does diplomacy ring a bell?

You say you are fighting over there so that they do not bring the fight here. Come on think about this statement. This is just a echo of one of the Bush admins excuses for killing. What exactly are we doing to prevent another attack? Killing Muslims? Destroying their homes, businesses ect? Causing civil war and unrest? Again what would be your response if someone was to come to this country and do what we have done there? Would you just say oh we cant mess with them because they will take revenge. The war on terrorism is a joke. It is a war against a ideal that has existed long before this country has. If you think about it George Washington was a terrorist. We would have been better off to let these people blow each other up and protect our own borders at home.We can not possibly kill all of the terrorists. We cant kill all the muslims. There will always be more as long as they have a reason to fight they will. Best tactic is to lay low and not give them a reason to strike out against us. You mentioned Israel and Palastinians. That is true. We need to stop running to support israel in killing and fighting muslims. This war makes no sense. We are stoking the fire over there and have made people and the world more mad at America and Americans. We have destroyed our image across the globe. Maybe it is you that is looking through rose colored glasses and you need to step back and see what is happening. I know it is very hard to accept that you may have been risking your life not for our protection but for protection of corporate bank accounts but that is the hard cold facts. Again no disrespect whatsoever to you. Your dedication is admirable. The fact is you are too involved in all of this and when you do come home and years pass things will become more clear for you I am sure. Just as things became clear to those who fought in Vietnam. Again remember when the hippies and others were protesting. America and the soldiers called them nuts, said they did not know what was going on, did not understand ect. Not many ever went to Vietnam but turns out they did understand what was going on and that they were right for what thwy were standing up for. Many soldiers can thank them for helping to bring them home which is what we are fighting for here at home. Whether you realize it or not we are true patriots fighting for our country and for our soldiers.

    Hasta Luego

First let me say to Scott Benson, I do not mean any disrespect whatsoever to you or any of our other servicemen/women. One of the reasons many citizens here are so upset is because we understand the reason our troops were sent to the Middle East. Therefore we are outraged that our government would put our citizens in a possition to fight for corporate gain. I also understand that you do not agree with this viewpoint and I respect that as well. Please understand that those of us voicing our opinions against this war are on your side. We hurt for you as well as the many muslims in the Middle East that have given their lives.

On another note. You mentioned that the US is not benefiting from oil in Iraq. In a way you are completely correct. However big oil companies such as Exxon have had record profits. Doesnt it seem ironic that the people benefiting from this war are big corporations with no bid contracts ect. Our VP who continues to have large stock holdings in Haliburton, Brown and Root,Harken Energy and oil is making big time money from this. Everytime our military destroys infrastructure who do you think profits. Bush is no stranger to the oil market. He has made his financial backers rich. Yes, you are right the american people are not seeing any of the profits. Oil prices continue to be high. Granted lower than normal right now but I will be willing to bet the price will go up after the November elections.

Iraq and Afghanistan had nothing to do with 911. Even if you buy the story the govt tried to sell us. None of the “hijackers” were from Iraq or Afghanistan. If Bin Ladin was responsible, why was his family and the royal Saudis flown out on a private plane when there was a no fly after 911? Why do we continue to have strong ties to the Saudis. Also note that the Saudi financial interests are the same as the Bush family financial interests. They are involved in the same corporations that are banking off of this war. Also note that the stock market had very unusual trading prior and after 911. Many people made a fortune off the stock market due to knowledge of the attack. Also note that we are the ones who armed Osama in the 70s. We supported the Taliban and we supported Saddam. Yes, I know Saddam has done some very terrible things to his people but where were we then. We were backing Saddam.

First we hear about having to capture Osama, then they claim Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, and now I guess the current lie is we are there as a humanitarian effort to give freedom to the Iraqi people. When does this all stop? When are the people who brought us into this unnecessary war going to be held accountable? Also who do you think Iraqi people and the people of Afghanistan will elect down the road if given a free choice. Shiite? Another “extremist”. Shouldnt it be their right to have a “extremist” leader if that is what the people want? I am just so tired of the US wanting to bully everyone that does not follow our orders or that we disagree with. Chavez is a prime example or the leader of Lebannon. These people were elected by the people in their countries. Their leaders were actually elected unlike ours who was appointed by the Supreme court. What kind of progress or stability has been brought to the middle east by our presense? More people are losing their lives now than ever. Russia learned from their experience in Afghanistan why could we not have taken something from that. With billions of dollars we are spending our people in the US could have a quality of life unmatched, could have healthcare for all, no starving people, no elderly people trying to live on Social Security and medicare and being kicked to the curb. This makes many of us very upset.

I can understand why the muslims are upset with us. We have put up military bases all across their land(including their holy land), we have killed their people, destroyed their homes, taken away their livelyhood, and stability. Just thik of what it would be like to sit on the other side of the fence. Imagine if some country invaded the US and did to us what we have done to them. Imagine if we had a foreign military occupation on our soil. Speaking out against our religion, our way of life, ect. I am a christian but I respect peoples right to worship any god they choose or none at all if that is their choice. I respect the right of other countries to differ from us and to have different values. What makes our form of democracy the only right way to do things? What makes leaders who dont agree with us evil (axis of evil). It is time for the american people to wake up and stand up against the sensless killing, stand up for the rights that were fought for many years by our forefathers(mainly the constitution), and to stop our country from going down the path to facism. People called the hippies and others protesting the war crazy during vietnam but they are the ones who helped bring the boys back home and turns out that alot of the things they were saying were true.

Much Respect to servicemen+women but much disrespect to our administration for putting them there and taking away what has made many of us proud to be american.

Thank You JReily. Glad to see there are some people who can think for themselves and see past the brainwashing media and propaganda thrown at us in the States. Before any of you write it off as just another loco conspiracy theory, I urge you to look at the facts for yourself and make a educated decision for yourself. 911 was a controlled demolition without any doubt. There is no other explaination for thermite found, building 7 falling, steel beams being cut like a knife(jet fuel does not burn at nearly high enough temp to cause this to happen).Never in the history of man has a steel structured building collapsed due to fire. This is just simple science people. For those that think that the US govt would never think of doing such a thing to justify war try doing a google search for operation northwoods. This is declassified information folks directly from the CIA. The information is there it is a matter of people waking up and not just living their lives day to day watching fox news and the general propaganda in the US. The US is in a very dangerous situation. Our constitutional rights are being thown out, our govt is passing laws to allow torture, we are putting people in prison without being charged, no access to lawyers ect.

Anyone who thinks that by going to war in Afghanistan or Iraq has made us safer in the US is obviously not paying attention. After the US took control of Afghanistan their opium production went through the roof, After the US invaded Iraq a country that did not have a problem with terrorists suddenly was full of them. Also dont forget who put Saddam in power. Dont forget whose company provided nuclear tech to the North Koreans (Does Georgies father ring a bell, and our good ol VP).

Talk about a facist government. What do you think runs our government in the US? If you said big money you hit the nail on the head. The government is not of and for the people it is for the corporations. For those who mentioned that Costa Rica govt is corrupt. I totally agree. However notice their former presidents were charged. Our criminal president and staff continue to operate with total disreguard to the constitution and international law. This is not a Republican or Democrat issue. This is a global issue. The Dems are guilty too of letting this happen.

I just hope this madness stops before it is too late. People need to educate themselves and wake up to what is going on. Many scholars, politicians, and others have spoken out about 911 and the false information fed to us by our government. The truth will come out but hopefully before it is too late. Prisonplanet, Infowars, and scholars for 911 truth are great sources of information. There are so many more that are trying to enlighten people and help stop this before more people die for corporate greed.

    Dreaming of a peaceful planet..

I have found that there is definitely more people in CR and that have moved to other countries that are not blinded by the controlled media in the States. One of the comments below mentioned that people who travel think globally. That is what I have found to be very true. People see the larger picture. There are many of us in the States that are not happy with what is happening but are unable to do much about it. Protesters get arrested ect. It is really frightening what is happening in the States. I think alot of people who move to CR and other places are looking for a better life and more freedom. The US has made it very hard for people to retire with high medical cost, insurance costs ect. Also many people are seeing the road that the US is going down and dont like it. Constitutional freedoms are being sacrificed. We are going to war with anyone and everyone we dont agree with. Our soldiers are giving their lives and many other innocent lives are being taken. Over 650000 Iraqi people have died for us to try and “liberate them”(current excuse?) not to mention over 3000 american soldiers. Alot of us are a bit p***** off about this. So if you are sensing anti american sentiment I would not consider it against the american people . It most likely is against what our government is doing.I have noticed that Ticos are very receptive when you do discuss with them that you disagree with what is going on. Just my two cents for all its worth.
