Make a sorbet!
1 small guanabana deseeded
2 tablespoons fresh lemon or lime juice
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar (if needed or to taste)

Place guanabana and lemon juice in a food processor; process until smooth. Add sugar; process 1 minute or until sugar dissolves.
Pour mixture into the freezer can of an ice-cream freezer; freeze according to manufacturer’s instructions. Spoon sorbet into a freezer-safe container. Cover and freeze 1 hour or until firm.

If you don’t have an ice-cream freezer, use a covered metal bowl. Freeze mixture 3 hours or until it is hard on the outside but slushy in the middle. Remove it from the freezer, beat it with a whisk until smooth, and return to the freezer, covered, for 4 hours until firm.

I had previously posted the we grew ‘real lemons’ but never did have a local name for them.
If you ask for sour lemons at the vivero, you may get limon criollo
Try asking for ácido cítrico or limon ácido

We have good screens, but we leave the doors open all day…
Where we used to live, there had always been, according to others, lots of them.
They will hide under sinks, in the ceiling, under cushions, in your closet, under the kitchen counters …
Just keep an eye out for them. If you do get stung, spray Windex or another ammonia based product on the sting.

We sprayed with Baygon and believe me, it didn’t fix the problem, completely. They will return!

Previously, when on the farm, we grew many varieties of citrus plus many other fruit trees at approx.700 mts.

Strawberries won’t grow near the beach. They need cool weather.
Pineapples are ‘iffy’ due to the humidity.

Chances are slim to finding nuts and seeds in anything other than small packages.

Victoria, have you watched when locals plant it? They know when to do it … so follow their lead.
If you have a choice, use ‘short day seeds’.

”Parkinson’s Disease with Pesticide Exposure”. My father showed symptoms of Parkinson’s from in his early 30’s, so no idea on when he ‘initially got it’, but he never had any access to any chemicals. He grew up in Scotland and was a teacher in London and was never a gardener.
Last year I contacted Maravilla in regards to workers using RoundUp without masks or other respiratory equipment, meant to protect farm workers. An American we know was and probably still is, using excessive amounts, as he has ‘banned’ the machete from being used on his large property to eradicate weeds, since this is ‘old school’.
Our fears for these workers and friends has caused many discussions, but the workers will not make a complaint.
RoundUp is obviously more dangerous than fluoride

Real rattan will not stand up well to very humid conditions, but in my opinion, will look much nicer for a shorter time period.
Friends of ours purchased all of the ‘ previously mentioned company’, remaining stock…

I would advise you to contact either immigration or an immigration specialist, but I was under the impression, that these ‘fines and consequences’ were already in effect.
Even if your ex-wife manages to leave without paying, the overstay will show up, when she returns….

When we moved to CR, 12 years ago, there was no problem overstaying the 90 days, as long as you went to immigration, prior to your planned exit, and paying an overstay fee of $1 per month.
