Definitely not, which is why I added my response ”Sure a lot of inappropriate comments being posted recently…
but some are ignored and others removed”. And you will notice, that the original/offending post is still there…

We shipped a Chevy pick-up last December,’RO-RO' and used a broker in Limon who dealt with customs, and did a decent job, but if we had to do it again, we would use and recommend Charles Zellers, e-mail to shiptocostarica@racsa.co.cr’ or http://www.abcmudanzas.com/index.html, to do it all!
While waiting around for many, many hours at the compound in Alajuela there was hundreds of vehicles there that had been imported for resale, and the majority looked in decent condition. We saw none that looked as if it had been ‘totaled’ apart from an old MG which my husband wanted to buy!
My husband is a mechanic and does all his own work, so if a problem comes up, he can usually deal with it.
Our other truck, a Nissan we bought here. This was the second Nissan that we have purchased used here, and really had no problems at all.
If you check out the vehicle thoroughly, you should be fine. As others have mentioned, there are many good deals here, due to a slagging economy.

The chances are slim, but this ’detail' will be placed with your passport information on the immigration/airport computers, and will appear on the screen when checked.

Now I get it…but have no idea if that would be included, sorry! Although I would think so, as they are including sidewalks, and I read ‘garden areas’ although this seems ridiculous, but who knows…
Obviously, inflation has occured over the past 6 years, but most agents and home owners, declare a lower value rather than a higher one.
There should be a file, as this would be the only way for the municipality to gauge your tax base.
It may warrant checking with a lawyer, if the amount you may be required to pay, seems worth it.

Yes, it seems that these areas must be included. When an architect presents the initial plan for a home, the total square meters ‘under roof’ is what the price paid to the ‘College of Architects’ is based on, so it is what is registered. Unless, they were added later on, with no permit….

It depends on where you live, whether you apply to either the RCMP or the local municipal police . Request a ‘Certificate of Good Conduct’, Certification of Criminal History Record Information or a Criminal History Check’ but don’t ask for this specific ‘…yellow form, about a half a page long’. The document issued by the Police Department/RCMP in your city confirms that you have no criminal record in the current county of your residence.
It must be less than 6 month old when you apply for residency.

When we lived in Turrialba, we had to have a radiator changed. My husband checked around locally, and had another one custom built at a local ’taller’ within two days for him at less than half of the cost to purchase a new one.
So look around your neighborhood…
