Now for the second time…
We installed a small one, but the company will make one to your specific plan.
We paid just approx. $10k for the pool, installation, cement work, groundwork, wall to block the wind, etc. Hubby would advise more drainage rock and pipes underneath as ours was on a slight slope and the heavy rain washed away some fill, so we had a crack, but the company came PDQ and fixed the problem, at no additional cost .

The ‘igloo’:) hides the pump, etc ….

We used the Orotina company and were pleased with their installation, and their response to a problem a year later.
In your location you may find that you need it heated …
Be prepared for constant leaf removal if in a windy location and near trees.

There was an article last week in La Nacion, reporting that many changes and fines ‘were in the works’ regarding ‘rolling back the odometer’, not fully reporting previous damage, removing VIN numbers on imported vehicles, etc so maybe things will get better.

Still easy. But if you don’t have a CR license you will need to keep leaving every 90 days or so to ‘reset’ your home license.

I want to change my answer!!!

In BC, Alta & Québec, one must not reside ‘out of country/province’ for 6 consecutive months/183 days, to have continued coverage.

Ontario residents are permitted 212 day out of country rule and this also must be their primary residence.

I don’t have information on all the other provinces.

To be considered a Non-Resident Canadian for Tax purposes, one must reside out of the country for more than 183 days.

No, this has been the requirement for many years, although Ontario allows a longer time period ‘out’ than the other provinces! For Ontario residents it is 212 days, while some other provinces the ‘time out of country’ is 183 days.
In every provinces, one must reside in the province for 3 months before one can access THEIR healthcare.
In one province At least you pay monthly fees to obtain care, the other province, are ‘free’ but you pay hefty taxes.
Many services are not covered

Considering you will have to travel to town, possibly may need to spend a night, making arrangements for secure parking why not consIder flying from La Fortuna – Bocas del Torro with Nature Air?

I heard today, that to make your SS direct deposits to a CR bank, that you must go to the the US Embassy where they will provide you with the necessary forms to set it up using one of the 3 national banks
Just passing the info, as I have no first hand knowledge.

The first cedula issued for Permanent residency, is for one year. Then, the second one issued is ‘usually’ for 2 years. then it should be one for 5 years.
You can apply in the first month of your third year as a Temporary resident, for PR
Apart from a recent paid receipt from CAJA, no other requirements necessary to apply for PR.

Once you have your cedula in hand, you can apply for both.
As far as I am aware, PayPal is not used much here.

No, just the extra month salary plus any other benefits you have provided over the year that you paid to the worker, including overtime, holiday pay. If it is a domestic worker, the calculation of wages must include an estimate of the value of food and lodging supplied, not just regular wages.
If your employee has worked more than one month, but less than 12, you divide the total by the number of months that the employee has worked.

Those who are presently paying either alimony or child support must pay an extra month to the recipient, according to CR law.

By law, even if your worker does not have a work permit, you are required to pay the aguinaldo and some may also have to pay out an extra month of both alimony and child support.
