sammysdream, it is nice to see someone post a positive experience after driving down. Many time people ask for info saying they intend to do this, but we never hear whether or not they did.

To me the price seemed a very good price and it looked like a nice unit. This one has been on display, for as long as I can remember, so perhaps that is why.
We had been given the wrong time for an appointment in Liberia, so drove out there but purchased nothing!

soldier, we had to ‘waste some time’ today so we headed to the ‘Do-It-center’ and saw that they had a 6-8 person I think it was, Jacuzzi on display for $3839, which is much lower than the other prices mentioned.
Of course, if one was to go there and offer them cash, they would probably lower the price…

Their ‘Black Book’ shows nearly everything! If it doesn’t you can’t bring it in, unless on a tourist visa’!
What benefit would it do you to bring both the vehicles? They would need to pass ‘RITIVE’ to be able to drive them but if only for a collector value, you will need additional storage space which may not be available, unless you use a storage company.

We spoke with Bruce,at www.solarcostarica.com and found his pricing good. I’m afraid I don’t have pricing info for you.
We didn’t follow up installing it though, as the project was ‘put on hold’.

Anyone can file a ’denuncia' by going to the courthouse in San José and tell them, you wish to lay a charge against this particular individual. A lawyer is not needed, but would be easier.
We did this when one of the ‘investment houses’ folded. We were told, that ‘ …the person involved would not be permitted to leave the country while involved in any court proceedings’.
As to ‘…a counteraction against slander and libel’, I would think, so don’t ask me to prove this point, that if you have a signed lease, that should help protect you. And, I would also think, that an American ‘guest/visitor’ here, is less likely to proceed with a counteraction.
But, as I mentioned in my prior response, surely the lawyer can do something, since the utilities are now his responsibilities.

Personally, I would think they don’t cook turkey, or goose is that most Tico’s don’t have or have but don’t use, ovens. One reason, cake shop and bakeries are very popular. Most use the 2-3 gas top rings.
I still don’t think this is the answer Stan is looking for…

Some friends run theirs using of a solar hot water system, and are happy with it. And you will get more sun and hotter temps., than where they are located
But, them again, do you want to add this type of system, to your new home?

Surely your lawyer, especially if the utilities in in his name, must be able to ‘warn the new landlord’ or do ‘something’.
If you lodge a complaint and file a ’denuncia' against him, he will not be allowed to leave the country.

But what about the many Tico’s who slaughter a cow or pig for meat for a fiesta? Can you imagine trying to eat that in a day, without refrigeration ….
Both a lot bigger than any turkey I have seen 😆

Here is a link to a prefabricated pool company, that offers good pricing, www.ecopiscinas.net based in Orotina. One of their small ones may offer something you can work with. Easier to phone, than to expect a reply to an email…

I know there is a ‘joke’ in this post, somewhere, but I don’t have the answer.
But, as mentioned in the ‘egg post’ there are Turkeys here. We only have a female now, and a friend bought a pair for breeding then feasting, but can’t bring himself to eat his ‘buddy’!
