Souls Helping Soles (is a non-profit organization) that collects shoes for children to help them go to school and play sports.

Volunteers from all over the world learn about the organization through friends, the website, Facebook page or from the kindness of local marketing.

The founder is Lisa Garrette who believes that children are our future and every child needs an education.

“A pair of shoes given directly to them helps them have hope and an understanding that someone out there in this big world wants to help them.”

Souls Helping Soles consists of all volunteers.  The foundation has developed relationships with local organizations that cater to children and help them succeed in life.

They help us find the schools and children that need shoes.  They receive a list of children in need and we then bring the shoes right to the children.  The foundation has helped over 600 children so far.

There are drop off centers at (Paradise Specialists), Sea Hag Clothing, (Estilar Instituto Bilingue) and (Senses Spa & Wellness Center).

We receive shoes of all sizes and styles.

The shoes that for whatever reason cannot be given to the children are sold for $1-$2 to the community.

That helps pay for the shipment of the shoes from the United States to Costa Rica.  The community loves the shoe sale so we help Costa Ricans with shoes and then help us grow our foundation.

The foundation is always in need of black shoes which are the school shoes to help the children attend school and meet the Costa Rican regulations.
