Hal and his family were searching for an international adventure and since everyone we knew who had visited Costa Rica had “loved it” it seemed like a good idea.

Hal and his family live in Escazu at 4,000 feet, less than five minutes from town and the “the climate is superb, the temperature is always perfect.”

Health care in Costa Rica is as “modern as any you’ll find in the United States.”

What Hal misses most about living in Costa Rica are his friends back home in Key West.

Although some items are more expensive in Costa Rica like cars and gas, medical care, health insurance, property taxes and utilities are a good deal cheaper.
