Costa Rica does not have a royal family, but that doesn’t hundreds of people from turning up to celebrate at the annual Garden Party for British Queen Elizabeth’s birthday every year.

The theme is the ‘Beatles and the Sixties’ so come dressed for the part — you may win a prize.

This wonderful garden party normally offers a full day of music, theater performances, games, pony rides, prize-winning raffles, competitions and enough food and drink to keep the hundreds of guests happy and.., with that traditional British summer drink, Pimms, on offer, many guests were very much installed in the ‘happy’ bracket!

We are looking forward to seeing as many people as possible at The Queen’s Birthday Party Celebration on Saturday 25th April at the Ambassador’s Residence from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm

The funds will be donated to the Project Schools in Need Any donations of any kind will be welcomed whether in funds or goods.

Baked goods for sale at the Strawberry Fields Tea Tent will be welcomed — and also this year your preserves, jams, chutneys or other goods will be gratefully received for the produce stall.

And no! Unfortunately Her Majesty will not be attending in person this year …
