“I think that your article was inaccurate on several points and wish that you had asked for comment before publishing.

Most of those companies that you cited are simply properties that we had owned several years ago. For over 20 years we operated a real estate brokerage and investment business here in Ft Lauderdale and you will not find a single complaint or blemish in our long and successful career.

In fact many of the earliest investors/buyers at Hacienda Matapalo are our friends, family, and many of our clients from our real estate business here in Florida who had done very well financially working with us in the past.

Last December we began building Phase 1 infrastructre. The budget was over $2MM. Before we had completed it we had funding lined up for construction with Intermall777, enough to build the entire project.

It is unfortunate that they so completely disappointed us and did not perform. They caused a 4-5 month delay in submitting our HOAs for approval (currently in process) which has caused an unanticipated delay in closing on home sites and beginning construction.

Had we begun construction as planned you would be writing an entirely different article about Hacienda Matapalo.

We are currently in discussions with more than one party that has expressed an interest in stepping in and working with us to build Hacienda Matapalo. It is a great opportunity for a lender or JV partner simply because there is a very strong return just for building what is already sold and waiting to close.

I am sorry that you have the view of our project that you have at the moment and frankly I can understand to some degree why that is. I remain optimistic that we will soon be closing on home sites and beginning construction of condos and homes just as soon as we can reach an agreement with another party to step in and work with us.

I hope you will be fair and accurate in future articles if and when you see that this is happening.

I am not upset by your article because I know the truth behind the insinuations and I am confident that as events unfold we will be seen in a very positive light. You may print this response to your article if you wish.”
