Additionally, we have recently received an award in recognition of Quality Education with Love and Values by the Iberoamerican Council 2012, as well as the award for Academic Excellence, CICHE 2013 (Peru).

We have also been awarded the Ecological Blue Flag in Costa Rica. From their earliest years, our students begin their journey of student centered learning through our Montessori program, which follows Maria Montessori’s educational philosophy of helping each child discover his or her maximum potential.

In Primary School, students develop critical thinking and analytical skills through programs and activities that address all areas of student growth: intellectual, social, and spiritual. As students enter Secondary School, they forge their path toward independence, having developed the courage to be true to their ideals and become agents of change.

Extracurricular activities at Golden Valley School support the development of the whole child, promoting respect and tolerance in all activities, fostering teamwork, and stimulating leadership roles in different areas. Various sports options help improve coordination, agility, and stamina.

Options in the arts help children develop creativity and self expression, while at the same time developing visual motor skills.

All classrooms are ample in size and enjoy natural lighting and ventilation. The facilities also include an auditorium, a library, a science lab, specialized computer and art rooms, as well as a multipurpose room for special events, sports, and meals. The campus includes a soccer field, a basketball court, and play areas for Early Learning, Primary, and Secondary.

The size and lighting in our classrooms allow for students to work collaboratively as well as independently in the comfort of well distributed learning spaces. The auditorium is often the site of student conferences, the library is for many a space of exploration into the world of books, and in the multipurpose room we share many special moments such as assemblies, festivals, and graduations.

Students can also enjoy our various open areas throughout the campus, often meeting under a shady tree to relax and spend time with friends, or giving their all on the soccer field and basketball court.
