We have just come back from a 3 week visit to our ranchito in the Arenal area and as this time we got to know some people and talked about experiences in buying land, construction etc.
May I suggest to EVERYONE planning to purchase property in CR, the very first thing you should do is buy Scotts book, “How to Buy Real Estate in Costa Rica Without Losing Your Camisa”, read it carefully and before you sign anything (or shake hands on a deal) check and double check against the recommendations he makes. Then the dream can really come true and not become a nightmare.
