Does anyone have any recent experience making a claim for homeowners insurance. Fire, Flood, earthquake damage? Please let me know.
Yes I do. Im waiting for ins response to my claim.
Not to mention the alarm company adt. They have liability also.
I will more than willingly keep you posted on this saga.
sofloUPDATE: After a few weeks of waiting after my robbey claim was put in I received a letter from ins with about 5 questions on it. I sent it to my attorney and just a quick update the first question from ins was why did I wait beyond the 5 day limit to report the claim. Well the ins response agent was there and we filled out a report which i have copies of only hours later!. These people are complete idiots! Now my attorney wants a retainer fee to process this to try to collect from these disorganized baffoons! I will be back in costa rica soon and will be going to the embassy to see what of my rights in this monopoly are not being properly upheld.
more to come later.Well im happy to say that ins finally paid me my full policy limit less the deductible. I had to jump through some hoops,even supply them their own papers they gave me jajaja,but finally i went to pick up my check,it was made out to the wrong name,so i sat for another hour in their office and i finally received the money!
So the moral of the story is ins pays!
Case closed.
