Just spent two day looking at condos in the Tamarindo, Flamingo, Playa Grande, Hermosa, and Coco area for my lastest investment. Looking for an attractive investment property with a nice income potential, long term cap appreciation as well as soild on site management.

Looking for any input as to the areas and developements. Saw several of interest during the two days touring with local agents.

Saw one in Coco (Pacifico) that was quiet nice and seemed to have it all. Even got to meet, by chance, the senior VP in charge of the project who was there for 3 days on business. Very informative and answered every question and concern I had. I had visited Coco prior (about 3-4 years ago) and was not impressed with the area, however, seems there have been some major changes. They looked to be really improving the area and main street in particular!

    Any input would be appreciated.

BTW… Used two RE agents that are listed on this site and are contributors with both articles and forum postings and was VERY happy with both! Super professional and very upfront and informative! You know who you are…. and thanks again!

I am delighted (but not surprised ) to hear you had a very positive experience with the two Realtors we recommend on WeLoveCostaRica.com

PS. How near must you be to Liberia?

Distance isn’t an issue for me. I just figure the closer to the airport the more attractive a vacation rental property it will be. Tamarindo seemed a bit further than the 45 minutes many claim. Hermosa and Coco were a short 25 minute ride which was nice.

Having a condo in a town or complex that doesn’t necessitate having a rental car I feel is a nice attractive selling point.

Right now I’m working on location. Next will be the specific complex.

    Any advice would be welcome!

Reviewed that as well as some detailed complex and rental income reports provided by the agents I toured with. Great Info. Getting your feet on the ground is the final step! Thanks for the info!
