Does any one know anything about the moratorium MINEA has placed on granting concessions?
All I know is that there is a disagreement regarding whether the local municipality or MINEA should have the right to grant concessions and that because of this disagreement no new concessions are being granted and that some of the concessions that people thought they had were not valid because of questions of bribes etc. any new information would be valued.
I don’t believe that there is any ‘new’ information.
This is one of those very ‘complicado’ matters where it’s unlikely you will get a clear answer from anyone – Even an attorney that specializes in this area.
With elections just around the corner, I would doubt that this matter will be resolved any time soon and even when it is supposedly clarified, it will be “claro como lodo” – “clear as mud!”
