Hi, I thought I saw on this board once a listing of a few books and one of them was about the Tico specific language…does anybody know what it is? Is it available easily there? Allso wondering where a bookstore is located that would have the Expat books on relocating to Costa Rica.We will be there for a couple of days, not familiar with San Jose and are staying at the Hotel Kekoldi with this address. Avenida 9, between Calle 5 and 7, diagonal al INVU, Barrio Amón, San José, Costa Rica. Thanks if anyone can offer any help…excited to be there next week for several weeks! Cathy
Cathy,
Lonely Planet publishes a Costa Rica Phrase book with two way dictionary. Very inexpensive and very small you can carry it in a pocket. You can get it at http://www.amazon.com very quickly. Enjoy your trip.
