Over the past 5 years I have worked with VIP Members co-ordinating dental work with Dr. Mario there have been times when a patient’s pain has become so intense that they have abandoned their plans to come to Costa Rica and have reluctantly gone to their local dentist and paid ´full freight´ for their dental work.

Now even with your local doctor its highly unlikely that he can see you that quickly. He might take you in to address the immediate crisis but then you have to make another appointment to address the real issues.

Then you get to ride on the dentist appointment carousel where you begin a painstakingly slow process that might take weeks to complete with multiple visits.Then after each dental session you trudge to the window where the nurse sits next to a sign taped to the window that says: “Payment Due Upon Services Rendered!”

In other words, don”t even think about walking out of here without paying!

Now,I understand its a business but you do have an alternative.

Think about this. You had planned to come to Costa Rica to get your dental work done. Perhaps we have even talked about your dental needs and have made preliminary plans. But now you are faced with a crisis in the making that needs fairly immediate attention.

Yes, we might have to work the travel websites to get you a reasonable airfare but I promise you that the few hundred extra you pay for a last minute ticket (and there is a site for those too) we will get you to San Jose, picked up at the airport and taken to your room or if possible straight to Dr. Marios office.

Then the dental work that was going to cost, lets say $14K, will be $8K here or less. Even if you throw in airfare and hotel (and I can find you a hotel or B&B at any price point you want) you still would save a minimum of $4K.

Ah, but lets not forget the airfare rebate you will receive from Dr. Mario. If you spend $8K you will receive a $500 cash rebate–$11K, cash $750 rebate–$13K or more, $1000 cash rebate. That’s on top of what you will already save!

No, that is not the case. Call me, email me your x-rays or US dental plan and I will have Dr. Mario’s price to you in 24 hours and sitting in his office in 2 to 3 days. Dr. Mario and his staff do not work bankers hours. There are days when they are there until 8 or 9 pm.

Dr. Mario’s new, multi-million facility with its own laboratory, is fully staffed and equipped to do major dental surgery. There is no surgery he cannot perform at his facility and will provide a licensed anaesthesiologist if required.

So, stop and think hard about your dental plans and ask yourself is it worth literally to get paid to come to Costa Rica to get your dental work done and save multiple thousands of dollars that could go to pay for a 14 day Mediterranean cruise? A new golf condo in Cabo or, perhaps help you buy that new Mercedes you saw at the Car Show?
