There are not many places left in the world that have been unspoiled by man, but in the South Pacific of Costa Rica, paradise awaits.

As the principal Realtor for our firm, I have lived on the South Pacific coast of Costa Rica on a permanent basis since 1996.

Without a doubt the tropical environment was the principal attraction, along with never ending excitement and adventure. I recall my early years in the South Pacific, when we were barely on the map, and had little to no infrastructure, lived on solar panels and burned lots of candles.

Fast forward to 2012 and the South Pacific of Costa Rica has become recognized as one of the best coastal regions for relocation and investment in the country. With the opening of a multimillion dollar highway and a string of infrastructural improvements, as well as a world class hospital, the South Pacific has certainly come a long way.

Enjoying the Good Life on a Costa Rican Farm.

A farmers’ boy at heart I’m the first to talk about the benefits of life on a Costa Rican finca. To put it simply being a farmer in Costa Rica is awesome!

You have a 12 month growing season, and your selection of what grows is incredible! Not only that, but your local Tico neighbors are a wealth of information, and their culture is very unique, it’s such a friendly warm environment.

With all the stresses of modern day living, moving to the South Pacific of Costa Rica has many benefits for you and your family.

Getting back to the simple things in life, such as food, shelter, and good water as well as a clean non-contaminating lifestyle will make you live happier and healthier — it’s certainly worked for me!

Discover Coastal Living at its Best in Dominical, Ojochal and Uvita.

From Dominical to Ojochal to Uvita, the South Pacific of Costa Rica offers relocating families the opportunity to enjoy coastal living with all the benefits of modern day living. It’s hard to imagine a healthier environment to raise a young family.

There is so much unexplored territory in the South Pacific, there are great rivers and beaches and hundreds of undiscovered waterfalls, which all essentially becomes a huge playground and your very own slice of paradise in your backyard.

I’m very much a family man and I am fortunate in that I have successfully managed to create a life that allows me to spend a lot of quality time with my nearest and dearest. We often camp or stay in different hotels in the South Pacific, there really is so much to do.

Since I enjoy surfing and getting my kids involved, a beach location is usually the call. When we decide to stay home, just relaxing on the farm is fun, and an early morning outing to the beach, with breakfast at one of the beachfront restaurants and meeting up with friends. This pretty much sums up my life in paradise.
