Costa Rica Women – ‘The preacher’s cemetery.’

There is a phrase in Costa Rica that speaks of “el cementerio de los
predicadores” which means the ‘the cemetery of the preachers.’

The reason this phrase came about is because of the ‘stunning scenery’ of the
Costa Rican women.

One can have very good intentions in choosing the spiritual life of a preacher
but unfortunately for some, that path in Costa Rica is inescapably filled with beautiful Costa Rican women.

The Ticas (Costa Rican women) rarely hesitate to make their more physical intentions apparent to the man they set their sights on and for some, the temptation is too much.

Some manage to escape though… A 47 year old American priest known to a Tica
friend of mine recently moved back to the US to escape the not so subtle amorous overtures of a 21 year old Tica.

Hence the term ‘the cemetery of the preachers,’ because they often decide
(or it’s decided for them) to choose a different path in life after meeting one too many of those temptations.
