Costa Rica Fishing Tournament 2014 Sets New Record.
Going off, insane, ridiculous, use whatever adjective or description you’d like, but no doubt that there truly cant be anyway to exaggerate the incredible day 42 teams experienced yesterday at the Los Sueños Signature Triple Crown fishing tournament in Costa Rica.
Leg 1, Day 1 of the Tournament produced 696 releases on Sailfish and Marlin, which is unofficially being called a new world record as the biggest single day total of any tournament ever recorded.
After one day it is Pelese in first place with 3000 points (30 sails), followed by Pescadora with 2800 points (28 sails). Find updated scores here.
The Los Sueños Signature Triple Crown is a new annual event merging the popular decade long Los Sueños Signature Billfish Series and Marlin Invitational.
The Los Sueños Resort and Marina is located in Herradura, Costa Rica, just ten minutes outside Jaco Beach.
