Those blue skies you see in these photographs are not touched up in any way, they are simply bright blue, crystal clear, sunny Costa Rican skies and I feel blessed that the sun shines down on us … Practically every day of the year!

This week has been sunny but, also extraordinarily windy so our construction crew has had faced some complicaciones in putting on the roof with the insulation underneath but they have made some progress.

We also received the quotations from the first three companies to supply and install all the windows and the sliding doors leading to the terrace. One quote was for c1,650,000 (US$2,920) another for c8,190,000 (US$14,495) ??? So we’ll find some more quotes before making a decision.

Our good friend and respected attorney Roger Petersen (author of The Legal Guide to Costa Rica) came with us on this trip to meet the crew, visit with the owner of the sawmill who manufactures the log panels and to see the method of construction.
