It’s been a scorching hot week so the construction crew have been grateful to have been working out of the sun, in the house putting up the tablilla rather than on the house, under the sun putting on the roofing.

On Wednesday, we had the delivery of the fifteen bags of green stones, ten bags of white stones and ten bags of gray stones that will be inlaid into the living room wall, the main bedroom wall and the fireplace.

The same company delivered the textured (anti-slip) ceramic floor tiles that will be put on the terrace, the bathroom floor tiles and the bathroom wall tiles.

Next week the crew should finish putting up the gutters on the roof and then all of them will be working more on the details inside.

When I asked the foreman when he would finish he told me that: “Si Dios quiere…” which you all know by now mean – if God wills it – then certainly by the end of April which would be great because we can’t wait to sit in front of the fireplace and later fall asleep in the cool mountain air.
