Wild raspberries grow in profusion all over the property. Yuca and other root crops are established. A herb garden has been started and there are herbs growing wild all over the land.

The 1,740 square foot home has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, it was built in 2001 and is two story and in a very private, landscaped setting. There is an office, living room with fireplace, and adjoining dining area a fully equipped, all electric kitchen.

There is an additional room which can be used as an extra bedroom or den, a storage room and a beautiful meditation room. The rear covered patio is a large 10m x 7.5m with three built in tables, a pila (area for washing clothes) and a woodburning stove (imported from the US) excellent for cooking and which can be used as a back-up to heat the water.

There are beautiful, expansive views of Lake Arenal and the volcano from the house and many parts of the property. Close to the house there is a magnificent spring fed swimming lake with two covered swimming platforms. There is an additional lake suitable for Tilapia or Guapote.

There is a separate garage and adjoining casita built in 2004. The casita (370 sq.ft) is a single unit with bathroom, sleeping loft with double bed, living/dining room and equipped kitchen which also contains a washing machine.

It has a large covered outside patio with a view over the forest and orchards. The adjoining garage has a washer and dryer and a lock-up storage room. There are 3 bodegas used for wood and tool storage, another garage and an ancient cabin in need of repair.

We have been told it is worth at least $1.5 million. However, we need to move closer to San Jose to be nearer our grandchildren and although we will not offer owner financing.
