Lots of chat out there that you have to have a new certified marriage certificate when you renew CAJA. Any comments?
Yes, I have read about it on another forum. Supposedly you have to have a “new” marriage certificate which is no older than 30 days when renewing your Caja. That makes getting it from your home country a little difficult. It has been suggested you should get married/renew your vows here, making it much easier to get your certificate within the 30 day limit.
Please note that I do not know if this requirement is true. I am just reiterating some of the “chat” going on in the forums! So take it with a grain of salt for now!
Heard that a number of folks gathered in Atenas area to renew their vows so as to get new marriage certificates.
Is anyone aware of some new rules or is this a local thing required in Atenas?
I know sometimes different regions apply local rules it appears.
Well my Caja expires in July, I just wondered how complicated it is to renew?
Also have to renew/extend my temp residence (cedula) at the same time.
Thanks
