Baby Boomers have always been the targeted demographic when it comes to foreign investment in Costa Rica. Being front-row and center to the action, we are seeing more and more young families making the move. Why? Below are just some reasons, which may be exactly what you’ve been waiting to hear.

Schools

Having a 7-year young daughter, I understand you may have some concerns. Five years ago there was only the public school system. Today we now have two private school options that are growing along with our community.

Escuela Verde (with over 100 students) and The Christian Academy (topping 25 students) both offer high quality educational needs from K-12 grades. Both schools are in the Costa Ballena and are centrally located.

Kids (Family) Activities

My daughters’ social life is beyond full. As is that of my wife and I! Here is a list (which I will be writing about more in the future) of things now available for your family and children:

Entrepreneurial Endeavors

There comes a time in a community when more services are needed. That time in Costa Ballena is now. Are you a chef, restaurateur, builder, electrician, or specialist in anything? There is space for you here…

Fresh Air, Water, Open Space

I recently enjoyed a lengthy conversation with a prospective customer about how we grew up enjoying wide-open spaces. Today, such open spaces are becoming harder to find.

Not here. Costa Ballena reminds my of my childhood when I rode my bike everywhere, played in fields with my friends and had a general sense of freedom. AND, there is no smog. None. The amount of oxygen produced by the rain forest is enough to clean Los Angeles on a bad Smog Index day (kidding, but you get the point).

There are many articles that will spin off from this one and give you a closer look inside our growing communities (Dominical, Uvita, Ojochal). As parents to a younger child, my wife and I frequently comment about how full and enriched her life in Costa Ballena. Her calendar is active, she has more friends than she has time for and our family and friends in the States are blown away by the life she lives.
