The Water and the Wildlife In Jaco Costa Rica
Jaco is a very popular place for multiple reasons, one of which being the waterfalls that serve as natural landmarks. The Catarata Llanos del Cortes is a local and tourist favorite because it’s reasonably close to Rio Celeste and Liberia, and because it’s one of the most unique waterfalls in all of Costa Rica.
In Guachipelin within Rincon de la Vieja National Park, locals and tourists flock to the 25 feet high waterfall that is perfect for jumping off of. It’s known for giving everyone who takes the leap an enormous adrenaline rush and the feeling of flying.
Jaco holds some of the best surf turf in all of Costa Rica, as well. Playa Jaco has surf that is very consistent with a couple of short breaks, which makes it a great spot for surfers of all experience levels. Swell sizes typically go up to 7 feet high before closing out.
Where the wildlife is concerned, you don’t have to go very far to see the beautiful fauna that Jaco has to offer. Scarlet macaws can be seen basically everywhere along the beach’s south end. The macaws and even toucans are known to visit beachside condos and can be spotted all over town. Hummingbirds, egrets, herons, flycatchers, woodpeckers, orioles, and tanagers are also frequent fliers that can be spotted around the local neighborhoods, as well.
Neo Fauna is a local, tour guided attraction that lets you get up close with some of the many animals that frequent not only Jaco, but of Costa Rica entirely. Even though it’s more for tourists, locals also like to take the tour quite a bit, mostly because of the baby animals that have been rescued and are able to be held by visitors.
The Bountiful Local Food Spots
If you’re a foodie who wants to indulge yourself then Jaco is the definite place to be. Unlike the rest of Costa Rica, Jaco has some of the best restaurants and more traditional options that everyone will enjoy.

Jaco Beach Real Estate

The waves don’t affect the swimming quality of the water, despite the size of the waves, and is an overall great place to swim. Jaco Beach is better suited for those who would rather splash around or ride a wave compared to those who want to tan more than anything.
Picture yourself in a 2 bed and bath condo that features an oversized pool that leads into the Pacific ocean. Jaco Beach also offers an exclusive luxurious penthouse with a mountain backdrop and an amazing view of the ocean water.

While the aesthetic value of your condo may not be your decision alone, but the decision of the association altogether, the closeness of necessities and shopping makes it all worthwhile.
The condo lifestyle is like no other, especially when paired with the beach, with a close-knit community and your desires close to home. Buying a home is tedious compared to what you can have with condos in Jaco Costa Rica.
