Am exploring options for relocating to Costa Rica and just wanted to make sure I’m understanding things. We (wife and I) are not of retirement age, so if I’m understanding my research so far, our best bet is buying a corporation or home to obtain Investor residency, correct?
Is this similar to the pensionado, where you receive a temporary status for 3 years, or something different. Also curious to hear from those of you in CR already, your feelings about the elections this year (what if any changes you think it would create). Thanks for any and all input!

Thanks for the link to the informative video. After watching and seeing a link to another post, it leads to another question. As allowance for the 200k investment to be a personal home as well has only been in effect since 2010, have you seen a willingness on the part of immigration to allow this as an acceptable investment to qualify? Meaning, is it still a questionable decision, or do they allow it frequently? Thanks!
And I found a spirited discussion on this years election…8)
