Hello everyone!
I have 2 small children and we are planning on moving to Costa Rica next Spring. I already have found a job in El Rodeo and therefore I would like to know more about the childcare options in the area. Are there any kindergardens in El Rodeo or Ciudad Colon, and how much do they charge (per week/moth)? The other option would be hiring a local nanny. Does anyone know, how much I need to be prepared to pay (weekly or monthly) for a nanny? Any internet sites, where I could find out more information? Cheers and many thanks for your help!:)
It will depend on the ages of your children, as is always the case whether they can enroll in Kindergarten. And, I would guess they would first need to use a private system that teach /play in English.
Possibly cost you all of your salary!
We do hope that you will be working here legally Ricanela as it would be very ‘complicado’ for you if you are discovered working here illegally…
Most nannies will speak very little English unless you are willing to pay a LOT more for a bilingual one….
If you search online for “niñera” you will find nannies for example there is one in Ciudad Colon at:

I do NOT know this person and have NO idea who she is so please do all the homework you can …
