We used to have meat chickens and as you say, they were kept inside. But, we found it wasn’t worth paying out for the feed since the cost was prohibitive, when we really just enjoy the breasts, so we buy when we want them.
We laugh when the all of the larger turkeys get up on the bodega roof….
