My wife and I have started researching the possibility of having some old mercury “style” fillings removed from our teeth and replaced with a “Non-Lethal” filling.
I understand that a trip to Costa Rica to have this procedure done might be of benefit financially in addition to getting quality work with the latest and greatest equipment and training in Costa Rica.
We did search this site regarding dentist/dental etc but could not find any who has had this specific procedure performed.
Any info or suggestions would be more than appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

My wife and I made our first trip to CR at the end of Feb. I scheduled my dental visit with Dr. Tatiana Ortiz in Tamarindo.( I think she was profiled on this site about 2 years ago) The clinic is small w/ 2 dentists. I had 4 amalgams replaced and and a crown done. The cost with my dentist would have been at least $1500, I paid $450 and the experience was much better than the assembly line dentistry in the US. We spent almost as much time visiting as she did drilling. Because of time constraints I have to go for a return visit in Dec. to finish the rest of the fillings. BTW the rest of the trip was great.
