Today was one of this ‘high-stress’ days for me where I had to work for a few hours in between the three hour lunch I had with a dear friend I’ve known for about ten years…

Sitting on the balcony enjoying our morning coffee with the hummingbirds, the sun was shining and our bougainvilleas are blooming and full of colour.

I then had to answer a few emails and sift through a few hours of video to decide on which footage to use for the short movies we’re making about the Lake Arenal area.

For those camera buffs out there, you’ll be thrilled to know we used a Black Magic camera so the video quality will be superb. Those video are coming soon so stay tuned!

Our Wokapi lunch – there’s a one minute video below – was delicious as usual, the only negative was that they don’t serve beer so I had a healthy turmeric kefir drink instead.

Walking to the centre Santa Ana to buy my no-flouride ‘Complete Care Toothpaste‘ it was impossible not to see tens of thousands of onions hanging outside on the street beside Santa Ana’s beautiful Catholic church which was completed in 1880.

The prices vary slightly but in the Feria de la Cebolla yellow onions are selling for c600 colones per kilo (at c526:$1 that’s about US$1.14) and red onions are selling for c1,000 colones (about US$1.90 ) per kilo.

I honestly have no idea what onions sell for in the U.S. and Canada and would be grateful if some helpful VIP Member could let me know…
