According to municipality statistics, last year has seen the completion of over 1,000 units in more than 15 properties. Projections for 2008 predict even more growth and it is easy to see with more than a half dozen cranes working around the clock here at the beach.

Jaco’s five year development projection is upwards of 3,000 more units in more than 25 new properties by the year 2013.

Jaco’s proximity to the capital and increasing availability of amenities like private golf course, exclusive marina for sport fishing, fine dining and world famous surf have made it a leading destination for retirement and seasonal living.

The recent growth has also transformed the overall quality of life in Jaco. For example, all of the major roads in Jaco have recently been paved and a beach-front boardwalk is currently under construction. The new development has strengthened the infrastructure and has generated new employment opportunities creating an even more dynamic community culture.

In 2007 we also took time to give back to the community. Members of the Coldwell Banker Jaco team joined with the local Chamber of Commerce to wrap presents for neighborhood school children. Thousands of toys were donated by community businesses to ensure that local children would get to celebrate Christmas this year and receive gifts.

The festivities took place locally and there were approximately two dozen people that donated their time to play Santa’s elves and wrap up all 1,100 bags of goodies for the kids.

We enjoy working together with the Chamber of Commerce to give back to the community and will continue to do so in 2008. One of the members of our Coldwell Banker sales team recently joined the Chamber Board of Directors which will further facilitate and intensify our involvement in community.
