Suggest you try what many Ticos do, and use small plugs of grass. You will have to purchase some sod, and cut it into 2″ squares.
But unless you are willing and able to add a good watering system, this will be a waste of time, if in the full sun.
You could plant ’Mani' which stays green and looks good, all year.
Can’t you add a succulent type or a Xeriscape garden? Many beautiful drought-tolerant plants that look even nicer surrounded by ‘rocks’.

N&M in San Pedro used to sell grass seed, and so did Do-It Center near Liberia

Shouldn’t it read “Mel Gibson is hoping to sell his Costa Rican property…”

I prefer a heated pool too!
Can you make a structure to hold black plastic tubing, in the sunshine but out of sight? My son has done this in Canada, and it works great.

Often, if you live in a rural area, you will get mail delivered to your door. We do.
If you have larger package, chances are that you will need to go to a specified post office,to pick it up as you may have to pay duty on the contents.

Once you see electrical services, water lines … not just a fancy gate … actually in place, then it ‘may’ be time to get serious.

Scott, you posted ”..but doesn’t it strike you as being somewhat insane to venture into the pacific ocean with someone who “did not know how to swim?” and for a non-swimmer to go out further than they should, they are definitely taking a chance, but many tourists come here to at least ‘paddle’ in the surf.

Scott, pretty harsh words.
I am not a good swimmer and stood in hardly in any water … probably up to my mid shins… in Cancun, and had a similar experience to what jreeves above, reported. Luckily, there was lifeguards on duty.

Escazu – just south of MultiPlaza
Real Cariari Mall on the main highway to the airport
Zapote
Multiplaza del Este
Curridabat
TerraMall

A close business associate of the ARCR owner was refused a visa to enter Canada a few years ago for a personal visit, as have others I know of.

I advise you to read the rules & reg’s of living and working …or rather not working.. at Costa Rica Law
Things have changed here, since your last visit, so good but some bad, so suggest you come for an extended trip before making any commitment to live here. More home robberies are taking place, possibly to fund someones habit
