Every morning I try to remind myself how
lucky we are to be alive, to be healthy and
enjoying life in Costa Rica which for us
really is a land of stunning scenery,
sunshine and smiles.

But as the day wears on and life’s little
challenges start to grind us down it’s
easy to forget how lucky we are…

When that happens, I remind myself how
unique I am…

In fact I am so ‘unique’ there are more
than 2,470 people named Scott Oliver
on Facebook alone…

2,470! So much for me being unique, eh!

What about you?

Have you tried that?

Something that does calm me is to
remember that, for the first time ever,
someone in San José today is feeling
all the same, delicious excitement that
we felt the very first time we made
love!

Do you remember?

Que rico!

I like to remember that somewhere
in the city today, someone else is
feeling the same thrill that you
and I once felt on our wedding day,
or finding a new job, receiving a
well-earned promotion or perhaps
closing on a new home or apartment!

Buddha says that: “Every morning
we are born again. What we do
today is what matters most.”

With this 60 second visualization
exercize even at 56 years old, I too
am born again every morning…
