For the last six or seven years I have been wearing dentures. Part of the time when I was not wearing them at all was because they caused me so much pain when I wear them!

I could list the negatives of dentures here but anyone who has them already knows! The best advise I could provide would be to do whatever it takes to keep your original teeth!

I decided to look into dental implants and in the USA I was quoted a price of $36,000 for a full set of teeth. In the US I had dental insurance but it would only pay $1,000!

At that time I started researching dental care in Costa Rica and determined it would be much cheaper for the same work. After arriving in Costa Rica I went to several dentists and chose one that I was comfortable with and my wife and I both received quotes for our care.

My wife required root canals, caps, fillings and implants but still had her own teeth.

This work took about five months because there is a surgery and bone grafts that must heal before you get your new teeth. My wife actually had more appointments for her work than I did but now we are finished I can honestly say, “It was worth it!”

Both of us are totally satisfied with the results! Being able to eat properly again is something most people take for granted but for me it is a real blessing.

The price for our dental work ended up about the same for each of us. The total price for both was about $23,000 and again, remember that in the USA they wanted to charge $36,000 for me alone – goodness knows how much we would have had to pay for the two of us.

In our experience, the quality of the dental services offered in Costa Rica is as good as any in the world!

The facilities are as modern and professional as anything in the US! I would not hesitate to recommend these doctors to my family and friends!

This dental clinic has four dentists and they are each specialists in various disciplines. They have two different offices, one in San Jose and the other is in Santa Ana and all of the staff members are friendly and helpful.

Not all their staff members speak English but the dentists all speak excellent English. And it was not not a problem with the staff because they are always ready to get a translator and since I am trying to learn Spanish they are quick to assist you with new words!

We are very happy living here in Costa Rica and for Americans it is a great place!
