Within Walking Distance - The following walk times are paced by this 50-year-old male. The Plaza Real in Alajuela with restaurants, cafes, AM/PM Convenience, Opticians, Dry Cleaners, Banks, Fashion and Sport Wear is a 15 to 20 minute walk.

The community convenience store, bakery, and take-out food are only 3 minutes away. The International Mall with Movie Theater, Food Court, most Banks, Supermarket, and plenty of boutiques is a 20 to 40 minute walk.

The Más por Menos supermarket is a 20 - 30 minute walk and if you do have a car, all of these locations are less than a 5 minute drive away.

Furnished Rental Apartment #1 is US$625 per month

These are one bedroom apartment rentals with open concept living-room/kitchens. They have high water pressure, bathtubs with shower (no 'suicide' showers here), hot running water, cable television, shared WiFi internet, and access to laundry machines.

The kitchens are fully equipped (stove, microwave oven, small appliances, and cutlery) and beds come with clean linen. These are non-smoking apartments, but balconies are useful year-round in Costa Rica. Electricity is extra and a security deposit is required.

1. Furnished Rental Apartment #1: Is on the second floor, it has a glass range top stove, an island counter with sink, a King bed with television suspended in one corner, winged sitting chair, 2 walk-out balconies from the bedroom, a walk through closet to the bathroom, a Jacuzzi style bath with suspended television, a large living room wall unit with built in television, two sofas, and a round pine table with chairs. Yes! Every room, even the bathroom has a television. The monthly rental for #1 is US$625 or US$200 per week.
2. Furnished Rental Apartment #2: Is a slightly smaller apartment, is on the second floor, has one sofa, book case, television, and desk. The kitchen has an island counter with sink and stools around the island. The bedroom has a queen bed, closet, dresser, night table, desk. The monthly rental for #2 is US$475 or US$150 per week

Furnished Rental Apartment Apartment #3 is US$550 per month

3. Furnished Rental Apartment #3 is the largest apartment, is on the main floor (no stairs to climb), has a private outdoor patio accessed from bedroom, stainless steel appliances, a granite kitchen counter, a full-sized dining room table, a sofa and love chair, a desk, television, king sized bed, dresser, and closet. The monthly rental for #3 is US$550 or US$175 per week
