Costa Rica Realtor Angelina Phillips for Real Estate in Samara and Carrillo in Southern Guanacaste

Angelina Phillips has lived in Costa Rica since 2007 and has been involved with real estate for nearly 20 years. She and her husband Steve are legally allowed to work as professional Realtors in Southern Guanacaste, primarily the Samara and Carrillo areas.

Angelina has a graduate degree and twenty plus years in the private and public sector working at the executive level and she now lives with her husband Steve and their young son Marco in Samara. She also has two grown children living in the United States, of which one owns land in Playa Negra just a few hours north of Samara.

Samara is located between Punta Islita and Nosara on the Nicoya Peninsula in Guanacaste 45 minutes south of Nosara and 1.5 hours from Liberia International Airport and 3.5 hours from San Jose.

Angelina is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the Costa Rica Global Association of Realtors (CRGAR) and her company's philosophy is to: "Offer a positively memorable experience for our customers through listening to our client's needs and working to help them achieve their goals while becoming a credible resource for them during and after the sales process."

When I asked Angelina why Samara is so special for her and her family? She replied:

"Samara still has that Tico fishing village vibe and you can buy organic vegetables and goat cheese directly from the farmers at the weekly open air market. You are often the only person in sight walking on the beach but the nightlife rocks until the wee hours. You know everyone in town and a trip across Samara will always include a stop or two catching up with a friend.

Alberto at the post office knows my name and where I live but if I want to get lost for a while the opportunities for seclusion abound. We flat out have two of the best beaches in all of Costa Rica and a half dozen different surf breaks within a half hour. Throw in the most eclectic group of expats from the world over and a town full of beautiful Ticos and you have some of the reasons I call Samara home."

A Costa Rica 4X4 - Four legs that is...

"We sense a resurgence in the $175K-$300K price range with plenty of bargains to be had in our area. For the most part, our sellers have fully paid for their investments so they are not selling their homes for 50 cents on the dollar.

Those homes that have been overpriced have seen a correction. Those homes that were reasonably priced a few years ago are now very well priced and often within walking distance to three beaches as well as the village of Samara. Our community not only enjoys a nice offering of well priced properties ranging from $50K to $300K, but we also have a breathtaking collection of million dollar homes with white water views only minutes from the city center."
