"I was born and raised in and around New Orleans, Louisiana. My love for Latin America began in high school Spanish class where I began to learn the language. I have always focused on doing business in Latin America and studied in Mexico and Spain during my college years at Hampden-Sydney in Virginia.

My wife, Mary Katharine is from Texas and we live in Manuel Antonio with a great group of friends, many of whom I have know for more than 10 years, and some whom I went to college with. I am surfer and fisherman; I love to explore remote areas of Costa Rica."

Martin Gill has lived in Costa Rica for four years out of the last seven. He and his wife Mary Katharine live in Manuel Antonio with their one year old son Wilson who was born in the CIMA Hospital in Escazu, Costa Rica.

Martin has been involved with Costa Rica real estate since 2001 and has attended the Costa Rica Real Estate Broker's course. As a professional Realtor, Martin specializes in real estate investments with good cash flow, development properties, hotels, homes and condos in the area from Jaco/Herradura south to Ojochal. In the past twelve months he has sold 16 properties.

Q: What are the general market conditions like in your area as of November 2007?
A: "Manuel Antonio is one of the most complete destinations in Costa Rica. Our stunning natural scenery, world class beaches, national park, and new marina under construction, make it a tremendous place to invest. The Portalon, Dominical, Uvita, and Ojochal areas to the south offer unmatched experiences, raw nature, and more bang for the buck."

Birds' eye ocean views in the south are some of the best bets for land appreciation. Premier homesites along the coast with spectacular views start in the mid $200's and go up from there. Ocean views homes range from $500K into the millions. Values are determined by location, access, view, topography, and size.
