Costa Rica Mortgage Broker - A recommended mortgage professional.

If you have been a VIP Member for some time you may have read 'Costa Rica Mortgages - Expensive from start to finish.'

You will know how time consuming it can be with the 'US$325K Costa Rica Mortgage story' and may also have read that the even compared to the lowest Costa Rica mortgage commissions, Costa Rican banks charge 100% more in mortgage closing costs than the banks in 31 US states and over 50% more than the highest rates charged by New York State - the state with the highest mortgage closing costs in the entire USA.

Only a few years ago, there were no mortgage brokers that could help you get a mortgage to buy real estate in Costa Rica. Now there are a handful of mortgage brokers however some have very little professional experience in the industry and the level of service, communication skills and attention to details varies dramatically.

I have met with most of the Costa Rica mortgage brokers that I want to meet and after checking out a number of customer references (some of which are included here for you), today we are recommending a mortgage professional by the name of Ross Sveback to the VIP Members of WeLoveCostaRica.com

Ross Sveback is a US citizen, and is a long time resident of Mahtomedi in Minnesota. He has ten years experience as a professional mortgage broker.

Ross has helped numerous clients purchase their dream homes in Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, Caymans and the U.S., including a few of our VIP Members. Ross listens to his customers, he is crystal clear with his communications, incredibly attentive to detail and knows that when he takes good care of his clients, they will be satisfied customers.

To make sure that he is up to date with regards to industry knowledge, Ross is an avid reader and also takes Continuing Education classes every year with respect to Loan Origination, Real Estate Settlement Procedures, Mortgage Ethics and Finance Legislation.

Ross Sveback can help you with all of your mortgage needs, whether they be in the USA or in Costa Rica and recognizes the value of having someone local for his clients to deal with can alleviate a lot of the burden in obtaining a mortgage.

In order to help you achieve your dream of buying real estate in Costa Rica, Ross will be writing a regular feature on mortgages so that you - our VIP Members will understand exactly how the process works. We are here to help you.

Costa Rica Mortgage Broker - Ross Sveback customer letters:

Jul 17, 2007 2:44 PM: "Ross was very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the mortgage process to me. It was nice because I was basically clueless and he brought it down to my level. I thought the communication level was great. I actually never found myself wondering what was going on because he informed me every step of the way. From the time I submitted my paperwork to him until I was fully approved was a little over a week actually -- I was surprised and excited. I would recommend him to anyone I run into looking in that area because I know they will be taken care of. Customer service is key and he has that down." Mitch Hildman

Jul 18, 2007 7:11 PM: "Ross has done a great job with my clients and I have had no complaints. Most of our clients are American or Canadian, although we also have some great clients who are from Costa Rica. We don't string clients along or use bait-and-switch tactics, and unlike other lenders we know of, we charge no upfront fees. In fact, we don't get paid until the loan funds. Consequently, our objective on each loan is crystal clear." Fernando Paez.

Jul 17, 2007 7:10 PM: "I thought Ross did a good job. We had contacted several companies that advertise online but Ross was the only one that ever followed up. My wife and I are retired, living on our pensions and we had paid cash for our home here in Guanacaste two years ago and wanted to be able to have some additional spending money for fun as well as any emergencies.

Ross understood our needs and actually directed us toward a Home Equity Line of Credit which allows us to only make payments on the money we pull out, keeping our monthly expenses to a minimum since we live on a limited income as we are retired. It took longer than we had hoped for because we were trying to pay off some unwanted debt, but he did come through and we are relieved that we no longer have to worry about money any longer.

I would say that our communication was good with Ross, although he did have some issues at times getting communication back from the bank he said -- but again in the end he came through. The process took 60 days and I thought our home was worth $400,000 and it appraised for $750,000 - so that made it even better. I would say he is top notch and have recommended him to many other couples that are in a similar situation as I am. 5 Stars!" Jerry West.

Aug 21, 2007 8:39 PM "I can honestly say that working with Ross was a wonderful experience. He was very professional, organized, and eager to help. He most definitely knows his "business". Ross was able to help us with finances and gave us different opinions in which to consider.

Ross was very quick to communicate with us and was always there to answer any questions we had. The entire process took about a month, which in Costa Rica is about normal but in Canada, it was a long process. I absolutely adored Ross and working with him was a delight. I look forward to working with Ross in the future and I can't wait to personally meet him." Warm regards, Cara Middleton. Canada.
