'Tico-Talk and Save' Calling Card Instructions
Buenos dias and thank you for ordering the 'Tico-Talk and Save' Calling Card. This page will give you all the information you need about how to start saving serious money on international telephone calls using your 'Tico-Talk and Save' calling card. Three Very Important Things To Remember:
- Please make sure that your telephone is set to "TONE and not PULSE." (Usually there is a switch on the side of the phone, most phones are preset to "TONE")
- Make a note of your 'Tico-Talk and Save' Phone ID CODE which is the seven digit code emailed to you when your order was confirmed and...
- Please remember to always wait until the operator finishes speaking before you enter your ID Code
When You Are Physically Located In Costa Rica:
- To access your account when making calls from inside Costa Rica to anywhere else in the world, please dial: 2228 3113 or 2288 5280 from any TOUCH TONE phone. (Most phones are touch tone).
- Wait for the lady to finish speaking before you enter your seven digit "ID CODE" (or pin) followed by the * (star key).
- Then enter the number you wish to call, then the * key and the call will go through. For example, to call the USA or Canada you would dial 1 (Area code) then the (Number) like 1 203 222 3333 * (Always followed by star * key).
- To call the rest of the world (Not the USA or Canada) then you would dial 011 (Country Code) (Area code) then the (Number) always followed by star * key.
When You Are Physically in the USA or Canada:
- Dial access Number, 1-800-434-0383
- Wait for the lady to finish speaking before you enter your seven digit "ID CODE" (or pin) followed by the * (star key).
- Call as if you are in USA long distance. [011 (country code) (area code) (number)*]. So for Costa Rica you would dial: 011 506 (number) (star key *). For England you would dial 011 44 (area code) (number) etc.
The person that is calling from the USA or Canada will need to have your ID CODE and the above 800 access number to access the system. Please note: We can not be held responsible for whom you give your ID code to and any unwanted calls that they might make on your account. Useful Tips:
- To make another call without hanging up and starting all over again, simply press the Star key * two times rapidly and the system will ask you to enter the number you wish to call.
- To save time; if you would like to remove the prompts that tell you your account balance and minutes left before your call goes through then please email please email Technical Support asking us to do so together with your ID code or Pin.
To Check Your Account Status Online:
- To check your account for rates and recent calls, please click on Tecomunica.com
- USING YOUR ID CODE ONLY IN THE USER CODE SPACE; log into your account. Leave password area blank!
- Choose one of the tabs at the top and choose options to search for info.
When You Need To Buy More Call Time:
Please click on the WeLoveCostaRica.com 'Tico-Talk and Save page to top up your account (outbound & 800 #'s). Please remember to specify your ID CODE (see above) when making additional payments to your account. If you have any further questions about this service please email Technical Support.
