Mayra is a legal resident of Costa Rica and has lived here for six years. She lives in a new luxury home in Santa Ana and has a 13 year old son, a 26 year old son in Costa Rica and, a 25 year old daughter and two grandchildren who live in Guatemala.

Mayra has taken the real estate sales agent's course at the Costa Rican Real Estate Association (CCCBR) and has been involved with Costa Rica real estate full-time for one year. She focuses on luxury homes and condos in gated communities in and around Escazu and Santa Ana and has sold about 50 properties in the last 12 months.

The Escazu and Santa Ana areas are definitely the most sought after, not only by wealthy people from North America and people from Europe but also high net worth people from all over Central and Latin America.

Escazu and Santa Ana Realtor Mayra Claveria Biography

Mayra lived in Guatemala for nearly 40 years before coming to Costa Rica. She worked in public relations for seven years at Pepsi and spent thirteen years as the Sales Manager of a consumer products company managing over 500 direct sales staff. She has built her own home and was also involved with real estate sales for a few years.

Mayra's family in Guatemala owns the Bass Shoes franchise and in 2000 she was asked to come to Costa Rica to help expand her family's business. Five years later in 2005, the family decided to focus all their expansion efforts in Guatemala and closed down all their stores in Costa Rica.

Q: What is your favorite quotation?

A: "Live today as if it was the last day of your life."

Q: Please give us your comments on the current market conditions in your area and include prices?

A: "Real estate in our area is booming, developers are scrambling to find the next great lot to build on and Santa Ana in particular is one of the top areas in the country for new home construction. We have condos for sale from $100K - $400K and luxury homes from $300K - $2,000,000 - the problem is we have too many buyers and not enough real estate to sell them."

Q: What makes you uniquely qualified to help your customers?

A: "Simple things can make a big difference. I only show my customers what they tell me they want to see at the prices they want to pay. I show up on time and will never give up trying to find my customers exactly what they are looking for."
