Hernan Sandi was born on January 10th of 1956 in what was then a
little town called Escazú.

The real indigenous name is “Iskatzu” which means resting place.

Experienced in Seat & Saddle: Hernan is fluent in English and has been travelling around Costa Rica for more than 20 years. He knows the country
well both from the driver’s seat of his small tour bus which seats eight people
comfortably and also from the saddle of a mountain bike. In the little spare time
that he has, Hernan runs a mountain biking club that organizes trips throughout
the country.

Hernan hopes to keep doing the same job as long as possible because he really enjoys helping people to get to know and love Costa Rica.

How Much Can You Expect To Pay?

As an example of his rates, for a one day (ten hours) tour, expect to pay US$125 plus lunch expenses.

For a minimum three day tour, you would be charged US$120 per day including gas. You would also need to cover his food & lodging expenses.

During the ‘high season’ from December 15th through the end of April, Hernan
is very busy indeed so should you wish to hire him for a one to ten day tour,
we would encourage you to book him as soon as you can. You will be expected to
pay when confirming your reservation.

A Personal Note from Scott: I have known Hernan for over five years and he comes highly recommended.
