In a virtually unknown part of Costa Rica you are within a few hours of San Jose, Jaco, Montezuma, Tamarindo and both major airports. The ferry is just a few minutes away if you just want to get out on the water for an hour and/or go shopping in Puntarenas, especially when the cruise ships are in.

You may see our resident iguana, Leonardo, who occasionally suns himself on the fence. The parrots talk to each other as they fly over the house and the howler monkeys let you know when you disturb their naptime. The sea changes hues depending on the tides and the time of day. The sunsets over the mountains are nothing less than spectacular.

If you are a stargazer, the night sky sparkles with millions of tiny lights.

Experience all this and more as you relax on the 180 degree wrap around balcony. If you haven’t yet discovered serenity or tranquility, come and live in this magical place. Observe and delight in the ever-changing wonder that conveys the Pura Vida of Costa Rica.

Our property is located in Playa Naranjo, Puntarenas, Costa Rica on the southern Nicoya Peninsula. We purchased the home from the original owner September 2007 and created a corporation for ownership. Concrete block construction of the home was completed June 2006.

The home’s upper level indoor living space is approximately 1,500 sq.ft., with a 656 sq. ft. wrap around gulf/mountain view balcony.

From the balcony you will enjoy many delightful scenarios: The ferry arrives and depart four times daily; the local fisherman on their boats during the day and sometimes at night with their lanterns glowing from afar; the flock of parrots flying over the house in the afternoon; the frigate birds circling on a thermal of air for what seems like hours at a time; and spectacular sunsets.

These are just a few things that will capture your attention, soothe your soul and make you smile.

The home’s lower level consists of a daylight basement where the washer/dryer is located, including a utility sink. A half bath is located just inside the door to the 3-vehicle tiled carport (totaling an additional 1,500 sq. ft.) so you don’t have to go upstairs just to wash your hands.

Approximately (1/2 acre) of a walled and gated yard have plantings in the front yard, by the driveway and around the perimeter of the the wide open back yard that is wonderful for gardening, pets and maybe just a few of those artistic outdoor projects you’ve had in mind for so many years, but never had the time to actually do.

There are two bedrooms, each with their own ensuite bath, outside sitting area and air conditioning. The master bedroom with a King bed is 15′ x 13′ with glass sliding doors to the balcony. It has a double sink vanity, glass block shower (which has a gulf/mountain view) and a large walk-in closet with plenty of storage.

The second bedroom with a double bed is 12′ x 12′. The bathroom also has a beautiful view of the gulf and mountains. There are sliding glass doors from this bedroom to a lovely covered and tiled patio where you may wish to enjoy your morning or afternoon libation.

A 12′ x 10′ study/office that can be converted into a third bedroom is located off the great room. There is plenty of room for your files, if you have them. Bookshelves and a desk are already here and are among the items of furnishings to be conveyed with the house.

Glass sliding doors to the balcony with gulf views will help you organize your thoughts or, possibly, make them disappear.
