Q: What is your company’s philosophy?

“To service our clients needs to the fullest. Consistent branding and name recognition will be a key factor as we expand into additional markets. This will allow us to refer our clients to our other offices, thus capturing a consistent stream of on-going business. Our focus is to deliver the highest agency ethical standards and a “state-side” training program, which will result in obtaining qualified personnel.

As the Costa Rican real estate industry continues to gain worldwide recognition as a secure, safe, and viable investment opportunity, we will be able to capture a significant number of the 78 million Baby Boomers seeking professional assistance in their buying needs. Our ultimate strategy is to generate a Costa Rican working model, based on U.S. standards, which may attract major consolidation real estate operations as they seek to enter the global market.”

Q: What was the last real estate book you read?

Million Dollar Real Estate Agent.

Q: What is your favorite quotation?

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people don’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people the right to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson

Q: Would you please describe your current market conditions?:

Jaco – Less than two hours from Escazu (soon to be less than one hour, after a newly constructed toll road), this market is the first stop along the central coast. Also home to Marriott Los Suenos, one of the country’s most successful resort/residential community and a plethora of high-rise condo projects, golf communities and commercial developments. Nearby cities of Esterillos, Bejuco, and Monterrey are developing rapidly.

Manuel Antonio & Quepos – The #1 most visited location in Costa Rica, this area has experienced massive growth over the past ten years. The national park is a major draw for tourists, and the real estate market is maturing from a “ground-floor” opportunity to a robust resale market, with prices expanding handsomely. A future boat marina has been approved, thus bringing in a new potential buyers market.

Guanacaste Region – Representing approximately 80% of all foreign investment in Costa Rica, this region is a massive market to capitalize. Strategic offices in Arenal/Fortuna, Marbella, Flamingo, Samara are just to name a few.

Golfito – On the “other” side of the Osa Peninsula, this is a brewing market. A $500M Cruise-liner marina, residential and commercial community is now underway, with plans for more than 380 luxury condos, a Marriott Hotel, restaurants and other businesses.

The Costa Rica tourism sector has grown from 250,000 tourist arrivals in 1992, to over 1.4MM in 2005. The tourism industry has plenty of room to grow with the ICT projecting a robust and sustainable growth rate of 12% over the next 10 years. The foreign resident population has also more than tripled in the past 5 years. North American residents now top more than 80,000.

The market in the southern zone has just begun and we look forward to the coming years with the introduction of two new marinas one in Manuel Antonio and the other in Golfito. Our prices are ranging from $185K to $400K for an ocean view parcel within 5 to 10 minutes of the beach and condos are from $300K to $800K with homes ranging the most from $350K to $6 million.

Q: What makes you uniquely qualified to help your customers?

“My years of living in the southern zone and working in the industry has created great relationships for me with other Realtors, sellers, developers, hotel owners, and governmental agencies that allows me to communicate and achieve my the clients goals quicker. These are attributes that can only be gained with time.”

Costa Rica Realtor – Daveed Hollander’s customer testimonials

“Last week we arrived back home after spending 9 days in the Dominical area with Daveed Hollander and his team. It was a long and exciting week.

When we first met with Daveed we were not 100% sure what we we were looking for, but he was able to quickly find properties that not only met our price point, but had the characteristics we were looking for (ie ocean view, jungle, privacy…). Although we were far from being “big spenders” he spent the entire week with us which we appreciated. He went above and beyond in negotiating and made sure we were able to purchase the lot we choose. Thus far he has made the purchasing process quite seemless and has been with us every step of the way.

I would not hesitate to recommend him or anyone on his team (who were also fabulous). We are excited about our purchase and are looking forward to our new adventure. Thank you very much for the great recommendation. ” Christine and Brett McIntire, San Rafael, CA. USA

“We are big fans of Daveed Hollander! Four years ago we stopped in unannounced at his office and he promptly showed us several properties. Four months later we decided to buy one of them and Daveed went out of his way to negotiate with the owner a payment plan which enabled us to purchase the land. Daveed gave us lots of professional advice and helped us with other details related to survival in Costa Rica. We felt that Daveed went beyond his obligations as a Realtor and became a friend to help us adjust. We whole heartedly recommend Daveed Hollander!” Caroline and Mike Callero. USA.

“We live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, and while touring around Costa Rica several years ago we stopped in Dominical and fell in love with the area, and decided to check out some Realtors. We’d met with at least 3 Realtors in Costa Rica before we encountered Daveed and needless to say we decided to work with him. We are more than happy to be a reference for Daveed and add that he made our journey of purchasing property in Costa Rica seamlessly smooth.

Apart from advising and showing us many, many properties, he’s provided up-to-date information regarding the legal requirements of purchasing property in Costa Rica, a list of reputable lawyers & architects for us to work with, facilitated and supported road, electricity and water development/improvements on our behalf, all of which would been very challenging without his knowledge and assistance. In addition to that we find him to be a very friendly and honest person and would not hesitate in recommending him to others.” Christine & Rupert Downing. USA
