Living in the Escazu area, a mountainside community on the outskirts of San Jose, Martin loves the high peaks that surround him and the springlike temperatures all year round.

The whole family loves the easy access to some of the best amenities in Costa Rica where they are just minutes away from the best hospitals in central America, excellent dining, wonderful schools, day to day activities and exciting weekend activities ….

Being in the center of Costa Rica he and his family can easily travel to every other part of Costa Rica… With the new highway, the Pacific coast is little more than an hour away,

Martin loves being so close to the airport, the city and everything he and his family needs, this convenient lifestyle allows them to have many adventurous weekend getaways.

Martin and his wife have had wonderful experiences with CIMA Hospital where both of their children were born saying that: “You can get the quality of care you would expect in the US – or even better – at a fraction of the cost…

They appreciate the locally grown fruits and vegetable plus the meat, dairy and fresh fish from the Pacific at a significantly lower cost than they would back home in New Orleans.

“Those things have a significantly lower cost and I’m able to consume them at a level that’s just unattainable in an average budget in the US and so my lifestyle has really gotten an upgrade.”

Martin mentions the type of people who are happiest and have the most success living in Costa Rica as the people with a “laid back attitude for the most part” and who can roll with the punches….

People who can “adapt and embrace the culture” and know that: “You can’t take the way you do things at home and automatically assume that that’s the best way to do something here!”
