Change has always been a good thing for me, and I am very happy with the latest change in my life. A couple of weeks ago my family and I moved from Manuel Antonio on the central pacific coast to Escazu in the Central Valley.

The move was prompted by a number of reasons that all seemed to come together with great timing. My kids were ready to go to school, My wife was ready for a little more of an active lifestyle, and our office in the Central Valley was overloaded with opportunity, so it was clear that the time was right.

For me, there are no big adjustments to make. We have spent at least one weekend a month in Escazu during the years that we lived on the coast, and when our children were born up here, we spent many weeks in a town home each time.

I have been involved in the real estate market here for years and been working double time to hit the ground running. I am in love with the climate and access to goods and services that just aren’t available in many parts of the coast.

However, we will miss being near the beach and seeing monkeys from my office windows in Manuel Antonio, but there are always trade-offs. The good news is that my good friends and business partners Kent Thompson and Scott Williams have guest rooms available when I get a yearning for surf or a fishing trip.

These guys are also going to be taking over for me on the central pacific coast to help guide the VIP Members of WeLoveCostaRica.
